RUSSIA COMPLETES SAM DELIVERY TO IRAN
MOSCOW [MENL] -- Russia has confirmed the completion of anti-aircraft deliveries to Iran.
A senior Russian official asserted that Moscow delivered all 29 TOR-M1 mobile, short-range surface-to-air missile systems to Iran in late December 2006. The official confirmed a previous statement by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, who reported that the deliveries to Iran had been completed.
"Russia has fulfilled its contract obligations and fully completed deliveries of TOR-M1 air defense systems to Iran," Sergei Chemezov, the director of the state arms export agency Rosoboronexport, said on Tuesday. "The systems were delivered in late December of last year."
Chemezov confirmed the completion of the TOR-M1 deliveries during a visit to India. The Rosoboronexport chief was accompanying Ivanov in a tour of Bangalore, where Russia has offered India advanced MiG-35 fighter-jets as well as satellite cooperation.

When we get through taking out Iran we should send those missiles back to Russia. And I don't mean by freight.

Well alrighty then!
Let me recall they sold jamming equipment meant to jam GPS guided bombs.
Result: We took out the Iraq jamming sites with GPS guided bombs.
They provided Iraq with equipment and tactics for Gulf war I and II.
Results: Kicked their butts in record time.

Most likely Putin would not mind us blowing up the missle sites -- that was he could just generate more cash by selling more missles -- he cares not who he sells arms to -- its all about money.

I've developed the electronic guidance systems for the Ground Launched Cruise Missles (GLCM as we called it).
They may have to get some more ready to go...

PUTIN's Russia. I wish the Russian people would vote him out, but perhaps they are duped by him.

Well, some old jet frames [like F-4] ought to be refitted into remote controlled drones. A swarm of these , while being a warning, could force the enemy to expend the modern missiles on them, and then the more interesting stuff could happen. Alternatively - ICBM attack.

Just a business transaction for poor, cash-strapped Russia. Right.

Yep, and what you saw was the devil's own signed receipt for it. Our bunch of part-timers did a year-end departmental inventory - and it is safely there, with clean title and no liens against it.

No, it really is all about the trouble, and the money is a minor afterthought. Russia could get ten times the money trading with us. But prefers sticking fingers in our eye - it is more amusing.

What is really does it prevent Israel from doing anything, rather than us. Unless Israel uses nukes. Which is where this is all headed...

Don't misunderestimate the Israelis. They have some pretty ingenious people in military R&D.
