Why go through all this? He's going to get away with it.
It's not like this guy is you or me. If that was the case, we'd be strung up...

the Justice Department has been "remarkably incurious" about Berger's decision to remove documents
They've been too busy trying to find drug dealers to grant immunity to if they testify against US Border Guards.

Won't happen. The Clintonites are untouchable.

Gee, amazing how a Republican finds a "spine" after he has been stripped of any power to do anything about it.

The Justice Department should administer a polygraph test to former National Security Adviser Sandy Berger.... Rep. Tom Davis wrote in a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales dated Monday.LMAO!!! Yeah, that'll happen!
Why on earth would the shameless and corrupt Bush Justice Department want to bring back the Berger issue after all they went through to get him off the hook in the first place?
To: windchime
Sandy, you almost made a clean sweep for the bifartisan 9/11 commission.
Never has there been a more CYA democrat cover up in the history of the nation.
Get those documents and hold those dem asses to the red hot wall!

"The Justice Department should administer a polygraph test to former National Security Adviser Sandy Berger to find out what documents he took from the National Archives in 2002 and 2003, Rep. Tom Davis wrote in a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales dated Monday."
Good luck getting Berger to cooperate!

In other news, Representative Tom Davis is being investigated regarding his role in President Lincoln's assassination.

The polygraph cannot provide the answers that Congressman Tom Davis seeks. While sometimes useful an interrogational prop, the polygraph has
no scientific basis as a lie detector. Moreover, the polygraph may be easily passed using simple countermeasures that polygraphers have no demonstrated ability to detect. To learn how to pass a polygraph whether or not you're telling the truth, see Chapters 3 & 4 of
AntiPolygraph.org's free e-book,
The Lie Behind the Lie Detector.

Bush and the New Tone.
1. Didn't clean house of former Clinton cronies on taking office;
2. Didn't fire Richard Clarke of the CIA;
3. Didn't fire George Tenet of the CIA;
4. Didn't prosecute Clinton crimes;
5. Didn't pursue Berger;
6. Didn't pursue treason charges against NYTimes.
Instead, took Bill Clinton into his family, called him his brother, and rewarded him with plum world stage roles handling enormous amounts of charitable funds which he could exploit.
Bush could not be more naive and foolish.

It's laughable to read some of the lib apologists explanations for Burglars thefts. They say "well how do you know he took something important?" The obvious answer is how do THEY! know he didn't? And why would he risk a long prison term for innocuous documents? As if he went in to correct some spelling errors. Does anyone with half a brain believe that if Dubya sent Condi in to steal documents and was caught, the media would be totally uninterested? The thefts by a Republican admin member would be the main topic on every lib talk show and scandal sheet until Rice would have thrown in jail. But of course Burglar is a Dem. Two sets of rules for Big Lib Media.
To: windchime
If it happens it will be over Gonzales dead body.
The Bush Administration wants this swept under the rug and forgotten about.

I really hope they can put enough heat on this serious issue to overcome any resistance against getting as close to the truth as we can.
Where is fn' Bob Woodward and the other liberal media attack dogs on this one?
Oh thats right, those dogs don't hunt when they sniff a demrat down the hole.

I wonder if the Burglar was asked how many copies of these documents were made and distributed and what is the price of a copy?
