NORTH Korea today described US soldiers serving in South Korea as "infected with an abnormal sexual desire" and said sexual abuse was part of their daily routine.
The ruling party's newspaper Rodong Sinmun was commenting on the alleged rape by a US soldier of a 67-year-old woman. The 23-year-old private soldier is in a South Korean prison awaiting trial.
The 29,500-strong US military in South Korea has issued an apology for the incident this month.
"The US forces in South Korea are infected with an abnormal sexual desire and sexual abuses are part of their daily routine," a Rodong Sinmun commentary said.
It cited other "atrocities" by US forces in recent years and attributed them to "the shackling alliance between the US and South Korea and the way of thinking of the occupation forces enjoying extraterritorial rights..."
The commentary, carried by the official (North) Korean Central News Agency, said South Koreans "can expect neither genuine human rights nor social progress as long as the US imperialists' policy of occupation of South Korea persists..."
The US has maintained tens of thousands of troops in the South since the end of the 1950-53 war with the North.

A good daily routine is important, I guess. I eat a light breakfast, go for a run, then do the shower and shave thing. Not sure where I could fit in abnormal sexual abuses ... might have to skip breakfast.

History repeating itself. The Brits made the same complaint about US military during WWII while we were over there trying to save them from the Germans.
The specific complaint about US troops went like this: "They're over paid, over sexed, and over here!"

Wow, another thing for Americans to brag about. I guess that must be why we aren't having a shortage of babies here as opposed to Europeans. We can just take this article with a laugh.

People in glass houses? Anyone who's spent any time around Korean troops knows that them calling our sexual practices 'abnormal' is downright laughable. I'm sure the North Koreans are 2x as bad as the South Koreans, too.
