INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -A comeback, a drive, a legacy. And yes - finally - Peyton Manning gets his Super Bowl trip, too.
Football's most prolific quarterback put on a show for the ages Sunday, rallying the Indianapolis Colts from 18 points down and driving them 80 yards for the winning score in a wildly entertaining 38-34 victory over the New England Patriots.

Actually, it you want to be technical about it, a TD would not have tied it but left him one point behind. I'm thinning of the 2 pt conversion, if they decided to go for the win.
There's an old joke about how Texas A&M scored a touchdown against UT. Some kid threw a firecracker onto the field and UT, thinking it was halftime, went to the locker room.
Two plays later, A&M scored.
I was reminded of that joke in last night's game when the Patriot quarterback threw a short pass to an uncovered receiver... who promptly dropped it.
How many Aggies does it take to screw up a Patriot game?
Torre, no. I agree. Zimmer is another story. He, he.
If left to the MSM this superbowl will not be about football, but rather race division.
I agree, and I'm laughing while reading your post! You're absolutely right. The Pedro attack was one of the wackiest things I've ever seen!
Every good and perfect gift is from above.
The Colts acknowledged that.
To all Colts Fans - as you say - GO COLTS! What a game!!!
(Since we Browns' fans don't have much to cheer about, we do it vicariously through other teams. ;)
Try being a Lions fan!
I have watched the Colts so many times just not succeed in the big games - this was a DELIGHT to finally see them actually come back and win one! A Big one!
Been following the Colts since the Johnny Unitas days. Then it was the Green Bay Packers their # 1 rivalray. And then the Jets Namath pulled off that huge upset in the Super Bowl! UGH1
Then there were the not so good years for the Colts, and I became a fan of Joe Montana's 49ers (what games those were!) and this year was also pulling for San Diego (Rivers QB played at NCSU). But deep in the heart have never stopped pulling for the Colts.
Now - can they possibly beat the Bears??? I just don't know.
It would help, but I think the poor Baltimore people are hopeless
I missed that one myself. Being a Pats fan in almost suicide mode at that point.
I did hear some local slamming of Belichick today on the sports radio, but I dismissed it as radio hype.
