L PASO, Tx. - Two former El Paso Border Patrol agents reported to federal officials Wednesday afternoon to start their prison sentence.

Ignacio Ramos turned himself into federal officials in downtown El Paso shortly before 2pm Wednesday afternoon. Former agent Jose Compean turned himself in a short time later.

U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton and George Bush go back a long way. He was a member of his administration in Texas and a member of the Bush transition team in 2000.

He is fluent in Spanish, having appeared as a television commentator for the Spanish language network Univision during the Selena homicide trial.

I'd really like for you to explain to me exactly what is going on down on the border in regards to enforcing the law. You seem to be such an expert, after all.

Where did I say that?

These two cops were dirty. They lied to cover up their own actions, which makes them unfit to serve.

In the end, it wouldn't matter if they were border patrol, FBI, or NYPD - we need our cops to be honest, first and foremost. It's a dirty job, and for that reason we need the men who do it to be clean. These guys don't qualify, and dishonored their service.

Can you cite the amendment, clause or phrase that gives illegal aliens protection under the US Contitution?

Sorry, but the Supremes have ruled that once you are in the country, a person is covered by our laws. That`s why we are keeping the terrorists we caught in Afghanistan at Gitmo and why those fleeing Castro can be sent back if they don`t touch our shores. Illegals can be deported, but, while they are in the US, they are covered. That isn`t written into the Constitution but, like so many other things, the Courts have ruled its implied.

Does the things you cited give Border Patrol agents the right to use deadly force in non threatening situations? Of course not, because if they had that right, these two clowns wouldn`t have tried to cover up their actions.

They tried to cover up the shooting. They lied.

Honest cops deserve our support to the end. Dishonest cops don't deserve a badge.

See here's the problem. You believe everything the US Attorney has put forth. I don't and it is because the government often punishes innocent Agents. The Ramos/Campeanos case would just be the most egregious example if their case was overturned on appeal. Other problems are the incoherent press releases coming from USA Johnny Sutton's office. If Sutton's case had any merit he shouldn't have to grab at so many straws.

Well, thanks for the insight. I should have known that its the US Attorneys that lie, not the Border Patrolmen that were caught in several lies. I should have also figured out that the President was bored one afternoon and decided he wanted to add some spice to his life and screw up two innocent Border Patrolmen.
Please help with this, after shooting the Illegal in the back/butt, why didn`t the BP agents walk over and arrest the man. According to them, he was knocked to the ground by one of their rounds, was alone, and there were two of them? Why no arrest? Doesn`t pass the smell test.
