Hillary won't choose Obama for VP. He brings nothing to her ticket that she doesn't already have. I agree with you, but I think an even more likely choice for Hillary's VP would be Evan Bayh of Indiana. Midwestern family man, ex-governor, he might flip Indiana and neighboring Ohio to the Dem column. Hillary needs to make inroads on the married midwestern vote, and Bayh gives her the best chance to do that. She will get the black and hispanic vote regardless. Did you know Bayh accompanied Hillary to Iraq this past week?

What many of you don't realize is that you are asking people who have religious convictions to change them, just for the sake of winning an election. They don't do that.

Morris is right.
This entire Obama phenomenon is a Rahm Emanuel (Clinton) operation, pure and simple. The idea is to keep the exposure off Hillary while she cruises under the radar to the Nomination but in the end she knocks the straw man (Obama) down, grabs the ring, and looks like a sure winner.
The only way Hillary can win in November is as she did in New York - the public doesn't get a good look at what they are buying before they vote her in. Instead, they get to look at the "exciting contest" between her and Obama as Obama sucks up star-struck media ink. Obama is the "decoy" operation to keep close scrutiny off Hillary.
I do think he is selling Newt short, though. But I agree McCain, Giuliani, and Romney are all losers. They are media candidates the media is trying to foist on the GOP.

Do the Repubicans have any major leaguers? If so, who are they?
To: AmishDude
Oh, great. Now a bunch of these perpetual malcontent FReepers will be quoting always-wrong Morris endlessly to prop up their impossible candidates. To paraphrase Bob Dylan, you don't need a toe-sucker to know that Guiliani, Romney and McVain suck.

I hope the dems have Obama as their nominee.
He doesn't have a chance.
The American people will not fall for such a flaming liberal, with little experience.
Duncan can beat Hillary or Obama.

Ah! As a fellow Chicagoan, you can understand my initial shock at your original post. Yes, the media is certainly going to manufacture this election as best they can. I fully expect some sort of appearance of Obama on "American Idol" next season.

People in Indiana do like Bayh but they hate Hillary even more.
They will be happy to return Evan to the Senate.

Well, I don't know but I think Mr Morris has been checking our FR. He sort of "agrees with me" LOL... Hey just take a look... Moriis is one of those guys I like at one time and detest the next one and it goes like that over and over. Same thing with Newt!... says something great and then he says something I hate... Same thing with Buchannan :) it does UP AND DOWN...
As you can see by the Pic, someone asked for our thoughts on our current GOP candidates... Thes are MY Takes... So no need to get upset!

Did you hear Bobby Rush comment that Obama was "born to be president"? Emil Jones praised him in even more glowing terms. Maybe we should just skip the election and make him president by acclamation -- maybe for life -- as in the good old Chicago tradition.

Oh, great. Now a bunch of these perpetual malcontent FReepers will be quoting always-wrong Morris endlessly to prop up their impossible candidates.Bingo! No one except Alan Keyes is conservative enough for them from some of the people I see on the anti-_____ threads. These folks could make me support John McCain and that would be a real stretch for me because he is not my first choice by a longshot.

i was somewhat shocked when the recent elections turned out pretty much the way he said. Previously a Morris prediction would mean put all your money on the opposite outcome. I don't think he got any prediction right before that one. Was that one so obvious? Has he got his prediction software debugged? Is the stopped clock at the right time of day?

Give them some time to surface. The election isn't until November 2008. They have until next spring to campaign in the primaries.

I didn't. But I thought it curious that he dropped out of the race so early. Maybe the 'fix' was already in for him to be her VP.
Anyway, but the time the actual primaries begin in early 08, MSM Obamorgasms will probably be over and he will be the previous year's news.

Or perhaps the Dems in City Council will propose renaming O'Hare to O'Bama International.
