The President spent part of the weekend at Camp David whilst the First Lady travelled to France where she is on a 3 day visit.

Today being Martin Luther King the President met with volunteers at Cardozo Senior High School in Washington

Vice President Dick Cheney was interviewed on FNS yesterday.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is on a Middle East tour

Yesterday Defense Secretary Robert Gates met with Britain's Defence Secretary Des Browne in London and today attended a conference at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

Texting is really popular in Britain many people send hundreds each week, they get say 300 or 500 free text messages a month and somehow they seem to use them all up.

If you use the phone much in the US or would like to use it a bit more it is worth seeing how much each message is or whether you get free ones per month.

Youngsters in particular again in Britain are forever texting each other.

It is useful if you are out shopping with someone and you can just text them and say meet you somewhere or texting someone to pick up.

After I replied to yours, I called my phone service provider to ask if I get charged for sending text messages. No, he said. I asked, What if they are sent to England? No charge, he said. WooHoo! (He also said that overseas text msgs don't always go through.) You were very clever to think of it.

I suppose because text messaging is so popular in Britain it was natural to try that even if I am not that up to speed with all the jargon that the youngsters are but coming from the telex era helps as a lot of slang is similar.

Thanks for the Dose, Snugs. Even if I hadn't seen your name, I would have known that you were the Dose Host tonight after reading the first sentence. If I ever used 'whilst' in conversation people would think I was putting on airs! I love it when you use it, though. It is a charming word--just not one Americans use much.

Thanks for your work. I knew that there would be good pictures yesterday when I heard that GWB was out painting a mural with students. As we all know, some of his best pictures are when he is out with regular people--especially kids.

But, really, Ohio, I do understand how y'all feel in Cleveland as we had the Colts "stolen" from us back in 1984.

I remember those Mayflower trucks stealing out of Baltimore in the middle of the night.

It just would have been sweet revenge for Baltimore for the Colts to have been beaten in the city they snuck out of back then.

I'm pretty sure the folks in Cleveland would have wanted the same to happened as well.

The folks in (and near) Cleveland were happy that Baltimore lost to Indianapolis, Anne. We were all pulling for the Colts around here.

It's nothing personal, but there's bad blood in Ohio for the team that Art Modell stole from Cleveland. We don't want them to win anything..........ever.
