Wait until you see what happened to your Tuesday last week, but it turned out nice and it was a fun thread. Please thank your sweet friends for writing to me.
I am so HAPPY you're back!!!
Just dayum. Why did the unfinished post. Please ignore. :0)
I. M. Pei may be a famous architect, but I just hate that pyramidal glass entrance to the Louvre! In my opinion, it just takes away from the classic beauty of the architecture of the facade.
I LOVE my ergonomic keyboard!! My old one went on the fritz a few months back, and I had to go back to an regular one. I jus tHATED it! I felt like I was having to type with my elbows glued to my sides and my hands all cramped up together!
Pretty snow. Our son was home in MA from Texas for three weeks at Christmas. We got a dusting of snow on one day while he was here. He went back to Texas last week, they're predicting snow near Austin tonight, and we STILL haven't gotten any snow here! LOL!
I'm so busy lately taking care of Mom who we moved in with us a couple months ago that I don't have time to trip around FR, so I am particularly grateful for your posts with their nice little nuggets to chew on.
Thank you so much, Deb.
I agree it just does not go it is interesting contrast but does not add IMHO to the beauty of the older building.
Great to see you Gem great PC is working again - hope not to expensive an ordeal.
At least texting kept us in contact :0)

I think it is something to do with the Katrina relief - see quote of the day but not sure.
Is it the high court or something similar to do with our justice system?
Txting was awesome! I knew it was on my phone but I tho't it was part of an Internet access package which I didn't get. I haven't looked at the total bill but over the phone the tech said it would probably be about $50. What a joy and relief that was. He said the hard drive is fine; there was a problem with a splitter connected to the power source which made the power feed uneven and caused system crashes until I got a "No boot device detected" message.
Thank you for stepping in on such short notice, onyx, to take last Tuesday's Dose. I read through the thread. It was fun seeing all the old photos. Nice collages, nice memories. I'm praying the tide of negativity against this president, this administration, TURNS and SOON. It's insane the way this nation's media and some pols try to devour and destroy good, decent, hard-working people such as are in this administration.

It's been a good day for computers - your PC works, radiohead gets broadband and Ohio gets a new PC.
Good stuff ...
If that's the correct diagnosis, and you're PC is working again, then I'd take really good care of that tech - he sounds like a good one.
This guy is amazing. He's always gotten to the root of the problem and he charges reasonable rates. He ran diagnostics on the hard drive and said it's running fine. My PC had been clicking and then it started clicking and pausing and chugging its way back up before the power would come back full force, but I didn't understand what that might be caused by. It finally gave me a blue screen with a "No boot device found" message. The tech / shop owner was recommended to me by someone who used to work with him elsewhere, at Boeing I think. He said the guy was amazing and he made a believer out of me. He's rescued more than one crashed hard drive for me. I've learned a lot from him over the phone as he's patiently explained this and that to me.
