Cops: Child Pornography Found on Mo. Kidnap Suspect's Computer

Child pornography was found on the home computer of the hulking loner accused of kidnapping two St. Louis boys, law-enforcement sources said Sunday.

As a result, the feds are considering slapping Michael Devlin, 41, with child-porn charges, the sources said.

Devlin, a 300-pound pizza-parlor manager, was arrested Friday in the kidnapping of Shawn Hornbeck, 15, who was kept for four years, and William Ownby, 13, who was rescued after four days.

He is lambasting the reporters/MSM who are implying that the perp was nicey-nice and took the boy(s) out of a humanitarian concern. Walsh says the guy is a child molesting perp [period].

Reporters/MSM try to imply that Shawn didn't run away from Devlin because he was happy and well-adjusted in his 'new home'.

Walsh debunks that and says the perp began psychologically beating down Shawn immediately when Shawn was abducted. Walsh says an 11-year-old, 90 pound child has little defense against a 300 pound adult. [MSM seems to lack any comprehension that Shawn was and still is a child.]

I have no doubt they found child porn on his computer, but there's are varying levels of "finding child porn on his computer." It's one thing to have folder after folder, hundreds or thousands of pictures of children in sexual poses, dress or activities. It's quite another to find the person has opened an email from time-to-time that displays such pictures. Every image you view on your computer ends up on the hard drive as part of the system's caching activities. That does not mean you viewed the material and certainly doesn't mean you collect such filth.

I have had the same email address for almost 15 years and during that time I've ended up on a LOT of email lists, many of which are obscene (to say the least!). They can be pretty sneaky in their attempts to trick the reader into at least opening their message. When I make that error I simply close the message and delete it. Anything that displayed as a photo in the message remains on my hard drive. I NEVER reply by asking them to remove me from the list! That simply confirms for them that you are a real person who checks the email. That moves your name from their B list to the A list. The A list costs a lot more than the B list.

There is a frightening number of sick-os in America today that think nothing is wrong with man-boy "love" and probably think that Shawn and Mike's "relationship" should be touted. Bolsters their sick-o agenda.

'Stockholm Syndrome' would be my guess. He was just a kid. Who knows what his kidnapper told him or threatened him with? I'll kill your Mom? I'll kill your dog? No one cares about you but me?

Maybe there was no phone in the house? Even his employer of 25 years had never been in the kidnapper's various homes over the years.

Prayers up for all kids who have had to endure this. I can't even imagine it.

I hate to say it, but it might have been threats at first, but the way a lot of child molesters work is to become the kids friend. Your Mom and Dad make you go to school, go to bed at 9:00, eat lima beans. I'll let you play video games all day and night, pizza every day, alcohol and weed whenever you want it etc.
IMHO the proof that he is a pedophile is that he stole another 11 year old when the first child started hitting adulthood.

He was taken from a rural environment into a completely different environment.

He probably had no concept of where he was.

At age 11, he may not have known how to phone long distance to his parents.

He was probably threatened. Probably threats were made to hurt his family, if he didn't obey. I think reports said he may have been told his parents were killed in a car wreck.

The young Shawn had no points of reference. There were some indications that his attempt to leave messages on the compter may have been found out by the perp.

We have no idea of the psychological torture and imprisonment young Shawn underwent.

He was 11 years old.

I can't even believe people are asking these questions. It's pretty obvious that he kidnapped the younger boy & so I believe he kidnapped the older boy when he was small too. My guess is at first, when the 1st boy's picture was all over the news, that this creep held him as a prisoner & did not take him out. He probably drugged him too, to keep him submissive to him. 11 years old is really young - after enough time had passed - his brainwashing was complete & he could reward him for "good behaviour".

I am convinced he kidnapped this 2nd child as a replacement for the 1st - who was getting too old to "excite" him anymore. I am also convinced that he likely would have murdered the older boy before too long. I don't think it's a stretch that other boys may have met this fate with him before.

I hope the whole story comes out - we can learn alot about how these monsters blend in our society & how they get away with these heinous crimes.

This boy is blameless & an innocent victim.

A neighbor reported that the boy lost his cell phone, the neighbor found it and returned it to the boy???? No phone?

Police reported that the boy was given a ride home on several occasions when he was caught out after curfew?

A neighbor boy, who was his best friend, visited the house every day while Devlin spent at least 8 hours a day working at a pizza parlor and more hours moonlighting at a funeral home.

Devlin is reported to have multiple siblings and parents living in the area and none were suspicious of his activities?

Before I can make judgement about exactly what happened here, I need to have a lot more information? So far I have concluded that Devlin is guilty of 'something' but I am not sure what that 'something' is...
