Press conference scheduled for 2:30 regarding Nifong's request to be excused from Duke case.
FNC will carry live.
Thanks for that info. I hadn't heard that. Isn't President Bush to be interviewed by them tomorrow night, as well? Have I got that right?
I'm thinking his "new" attorney told him to get off this case pronto, so he wouldn't be subjected to it being taken away from him.
What I worry about is the Smith murder in Durham; I hope he and none of his staff have one thing to do with that; they are just as guilty as he is.
Only in Texas.....we're having lightning, thunder, sleet and snow at the same time!
THANKS for the ping!
Nifong's career has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. Problem is, when these idiots get canned, they always seem to surface in another high-paying job a few states over. If I were king, this skunk would be sentenced to spend the next decade working at McDonald's for the biggest jackass manager around.
abb reporting in...
Aw, isn't that nice of him; I guess he means the mean old press and public are being ugly to Mike, so in order that there not be a fair trial, he'll just step away.
BS.
Yes - Bush is going to be interviewed tomorrow night. There's a thread (from Drudge) on FR now where the president admits he's made mistakes which makes Iraq more unstable. sigh
Roy Cooper is no fool; he's good to go. (I think he even wants to run for governor at some point. This could be his big ticket to the game!)
Don't we wish.
In my perfect kingdom, the presser would be to announce all charges against the boys have been dropped and Nifong and "his victim" are in custody.
"Just one problem. Since when is the ACCUSER guaranteed a fair trial???"
Good point!
I wonder if he's had an opportunity to meet with the skank?
Exactly- they also said they'd cover the press conf this morning about the missing boys in MO...but...
What exactly does a State Attorney General do if he lacks the power to transfer or dismiss a rogue D.A.? (Revealing my ignorance but that's not news. ;))
It looks like they're going to carry it live.
I'm still reading the posts from yesterday.
Like Howlin, I too have dog demands. Yesterday, when all of this was breaking, I callled my groomer to get an appointment for my 12 year old standard poodle and the groomer had a 4 month old apricot standard female.
I brought her home to see how this would go. And it's not going well. Heidi, my very spoiled dog, is having none of this. The apricot pup is a bundle of joy and energy, but she is not housebroken. She thinks outside is for play. I guess this isn't fair to Heidi. But the little one is so cute.
I hope the momentary peace in the house continues long enough so that I can watch this press conference.
I tend to agree with Crawdad that a black female special prosecutor will be appointed.
LOL
Just what the infobabe on Fox just said!
Mistakes happen in EVERY war. No matter who is the civilian or military leaders. That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the country used to pull together and recognized mistakes would be made. They did not try to politically and personally destroy the leaders. Well, maybe Lincoln, but that was a Civil War.
Enterprise - ready and on station!
I kept my grandkitten last week....tiny, sweet Russian Blue named Ghost. My 2 mutt fat cats are 9. They actually stomped all over this house. And hissed. And growled. Rude critters!
