Press conference scheduled for 2:30 regarding Nifong's request to be excused from Duke case.
FNC will carry live.
should be fun!
I hope they hurry; I need to take the dog to the vet for a shot and they close at 4!
well i don't think they will talk for an hour and a half! though if they lambasted nifong i would sit here all day and listen!
Been waiting for this! But they better be on time. Sleet storm is just starting and I'm terrified of losing my internet and TV.
Too bad he doesn't just resign - all of his cases are now in jeopardy since he has been shown to lie and conceal exculpatory evidence.
hot DOG!
Thanks for the ping, Howlin.
Looks like his hope for a Friday news release has backfired. With the recovery of the abducted boys getting such huge coverage, I would imagine this news conference will be viewed by a huge audiance for a Saturday afternoon!
All cases that lab have worked on are in question too.
The lab guy who testified in court regarding this case is going to be interviewed on 60 Minutes tomorrow night.
You're everywhere!
Oh, you better stay safe; it looks awfully bad on TV!
If I were the DA, I'd drop all charges and tell the false accuser if she wants charges reinstated, she has to come in and talk to a new prosecutor and then go from there.
I'll bet that he is hoping that by removing himself from the case his problems will go away and he can keep his job.But from what thatone kid's mother recently said he is in for a long painful future. Those parents should sue him one at a time, i.e. when one suit is done start another until he is bankrupt.
He tried this before with the DNA and the defense team came out after 5 with their big press conference announcing that there wasn't any of the players' DNA.
And he did that on a holiday weekend, too.
It sounds like to me the NC AG was ready for this; I bet they have a team ready to go.
Yeah...but you outlining a reasonable approach, Peach:)
Geee...ya think FNC will carry it?
Here's what Nifong's attorney said the other day:
"He feels, as a result of the accusations against him, that he would be a distraction and he wants to make sure the accuser receives a fair trial," attorney David Freedman told The Associated Press. "He still believes in the case. He just believes his continued presence would hurt her."
Just one problem. Since when is the ACCUSER guaranteed a fair trial???
I slept a LONG time last night!
FNC said they'd carry it, but given how they've conducted themselves lately...
