It looks like they're going to carry it live.

I'm still reading the posts from yesterday.

Like Howlin, I too have dog demands. Yesterday, when all of this was breaking, I callled my groomer to get an appointment for my 12 year old standard poodle and the groomer had a 4 month old apricot standard female.

I brought her home to see how this would go. And it's not going well. Heidi, my very spoiled dog, is having none of this. The apricot pup is a bundle of joy and energy, but she is not housebroken. She thinks outside is for play. I guess this isn't fair to Heidi. But the little one is so cute.

I hope the momentary peace in the house continues long enough so that I can watch this press conference.

I tend to agree with Crawdad that a black female special prosecutor will be appointed.

I kept my grandkitten last week....tiny, sweet Russian Blue named Ghost. My 2 mutt fat cats are 9. They actually stomped all over this house. And hissed. And growled. Rude critters!

It looks like you have an "only dog" problem with Heidi. As far as the pup's comncerned, try crate training. Put her in a crate for a few hours, take her out to do her business, reward her every time she does it, play with her when she comes back into the house, and put her back in her crate. This worked pretty well for me with my new dog, a very friendly cros between black lab and pit bull, and he's now about a year old.

The "old" dog never, ever has anything to do with the new dog; UNTIL you take the "new" dog away; when she/he comes back, the "old" dog will be the protector and love her.

Mark my words.

"I tend to agree with Crawdad that a black female special prosecutor will be appointed."

Black, female, whatever. I don't care if they appoint a purple androgenis prosecutor, special or ordinary.

If there is evidence of a particular offense, charge for that and proceed to trial.

Otherwise, assuming there is no evidence, drop the matter, and apologize to the boys/men and their families. Any legal fees incurred by then for their unjustified involvement should, of course, be reinbursed.

Doggie unification is a tough road.

I found that letting them play together outside, and gradually bringing the new one in for longer and longer periods of time when the other one (not the new one) is already in works. It's less of an abrupt interloper reaction against the new one.
