How do you know when someone's gone off the deep end of the liberal pool? When they manage to outduel even Keith Olbermann at calumny.
On this evening's show, Olbermann and Arianna Huffington were discussing Joe Lieberman's support for President Bush's Iraq policy. Olbermann's opening bid was to suggest, given Liebermans's support for traditional Dem positions on issues like ethics and global warming and the fact that "he could give the Senate to the GOP if he feels crossed or just feels like it," that the independent Democratic senator from CT was a "necessary evil" from the Dems' viewpoint.
Arianna easily trumped Olbermann's opprobrium: "this is like somebody having a horrible disease and looking at some positive side-effect. Like having terminal cancer and saying 'but, I'm losing weight in the process.'"
Class gal, that Arianna.

It's really no wonder she drove her husband into the arms of homosexual lovers.
I'm old enough to remember when the Arianna was a 'bogeywoman' to the left. I can remember when the left claimed her husband shouldn't be elected to the Senate because he was under the control of this right wing fanatic.
She should go back to Greece and he should go back to Jupiter...
Wherever the attention is, there she will go. I wonder what it's like to be so devoid of any center principles, any "holy ground."
Apparently having some guy doing you is less offensive than listening to her every day - and that was while she was still pretending to be a conservative.
"It's really no wonder she drove her husband into the arms of homosexual lovers."
It is highly unlikely that The Huffing and Puffingtons were unaware of each other's proclivities. She gave him cover and he did the same for her. That is not to mention his fortune which she coveted and still lives from. Quite well, it seems.
It is obvious that he finds "Greek" love far more exciting with men than he did with the fame and fortune seeking Greek he married.
I'm glad FR has banned her articles. She's one of those shrill liberals who aren't worth conservatives' time.
I don't know why I waste time with this utter fool, but here goes: Huffington is not a journalist, she is not a politician, she is not an historian, she is not a lawyer, I don't know what formal education she has, she has never held any office of any authority. She was once married to a Senatorial candidate. Olbermann is a failed sports score reader, posing as a journalist. Why anyone would waste their time over a conversation between these two is beyond me.
I hear you, but tracking liberal media bias is what I do, and Olbermann and Huff are two of its most notorious practitioners.
No wonder her ex turned gay. She's lucky he didn't turn canine and eat her when she died.
MAy she fall down the longest stairway in her life soon, flat on her nose dominated face.
Of course, she's an excellent judge of character. Normally, I might not say this. But she's earned it. Just look at her former husband to determine how well she can judge people.
Who are they kidding?!?
You read like vultures...you know...the first dozen posts are all hateful comediennes.
All she is really saying is that Lieberman could prove a stinker for the democratic party...albeit with more colorful description.
It's not a slam on Lieberman, IMO.
I feel sorry for her, myself. I always thought she was pretty hot...with the saucy haircut during impeachment days.
And the accent is sexy.
Give her a break brake! ;^)
If your post was meant to be humorous, it missed the mark by miles.
I like Sponge Bob's voice, and Porky pigs for that matter, but your seeming sympathy for Air Huffington is misplaced.
"That's entertainment." For many people, that's what the news boils down to.
