I guess they only count the hours when they are discussing or voting on one of nanny's pet projects? Isn't that just like a dem, make a commitment and then define and redefine the commitment to your advantage!!!!
Why not have the Republicans in the U.S. Senate successfully filibuster the minimum wage legislation unless there's significant business tax cuts, business economic incentives, and business deregulations added to the final legislation!
ACORN's hypocrisy also extends to its stand on the minimum wage. While it has often attempted to force minimum-wage increases on private businesses through ballot initiatives and local ordinances, ACORN tried to exempt itself from California's minimum-wage requirements. According to EPI, "ACORN argued that being forced to pay higher wages would mean that they would hire fewer employees the very dilemma faced by businesses. Incredibly, ACORN stated that paying its employees a lower wage would allow them to be more sympathetic to the low- and moderate-income families they were attempting to help. ACORN argued that abiding by the state minimum wage would limit their ability to promote their agenda and would therefore be a violation of their First Amendment rights."
The liberal hypocrisy on minimum wage didn't start with Pelosi, I guess.
Oh my gosh! Thanks for that!
She would be pissed at FR anyway, and will try to shut conservative news groups and conservative on line communities down.
If NanNan is pissed at anyone on this issue, it will be congressman McHenry. He's a cool dude. Imagine Duncan Hunter as President with McHenry as V.P.
I would be a VERY happy camper.
Actually that would be a good idea. A house investigation into the Starkist connection, and exemption of Samoa from minimum wage legislation.
This is (ahem) the equivalent of stock value manipulation.
Impeach Pelosi!
We should start a pool to guess when the 100 hours will be over.
"aren't the 100 hours up yet?"
I think they only count hte hours where they are actually working - about 2 hours a day, 1-2 days a week.
What do we pay these people? I'm pretty sure it's over 175K per year plus bene's for life.

Not even that..they only count the hours that they're working on her "100 hour agenda"..according to her website, the dems have only used 23 hours and 34 minutes leaving 76 hours and 26 minutes LEFT on their "first 100 hours"..at this rate, 100 hours will last all year..

like... The Million Man March...
100,000 new polie officers...
reductions in rate increases are actually decreases...
inflated protest march numbers (and deflated counter-protest counts)...
98 cents a can for solid white albacore isn't bad though!
Seriously if they really think so much of the minimum wage and Social Insecurity and they really identify with average Americans then they should volunteer. Better yet join Social Insecurity and work for minimum wage.
Maybe that's their scheme. Well I can dream can't I? Or did they tax & control that too?
Having played football in the Old Days with many Samoans, I have to agree with you. I know it's a huge generality to say so, but they are as tough as any people I've ever known.
Kinda like Nicky Santoro from the great Scorcese movie "Casino". De Niro's character describes Nicky as such:
"No matter how big a guy might be, Nicky would take him on. You beat Nicky with fists, he comes back with a bat. You beat him with a knife, he comes back with a gun. And if you beat him with a gun, you better kill him...because he'll keep coming back...until one of you is dead."
Many Samoans (living in southern California at least) are related, and you take on one Samoan, you take on the family. So you don't want to take them on, take my word.
Oh, and Showme_the_Glory's post from #144 only reiterates his "woosiness" LOL!
