DURHAM, N.C. - A Duke University professor resigned from her committee assignments, saying she was upset by the administration's decision to invite two lacrosse players accused of sexual assault back to campus.
"The decision by the university to readmit the students, especially just before a critical judicial decision on the case, is a clear use of corporate power, and a breach, I think, of ethical citizenship," Karla Holloway, an English professor and former dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, wrote to Duke's black faculty caucus.
"Despite our judgments about the prosecutor's own lack of principled conduct, it is not ours to become the judge or subvert the process," she wrote....

My comments then were "if the professor doesn't claim to be judge, then why did she endorse the lacrosse students removal in the first place" and "so much for presumption of innocence till proven guilty".
Note to Prof: "Don't let the door hit you..."
Good riddance. Now if all the other professors who signed on to that ad would resign, Duke would be in great shape.
Per FoxNews this morning, the accuser has, yet again, changed her story.
Professor Hollaway is black and female. The accused are white and male. Any questions?
FOX reporting that Nifong met with Precious yesterday for several hours.....
resigned from her committee assignments
______________
Does that mean she has left the building completely?
Semper Fi
Just one more person who feels it her duty to prove that my user name tells the truth.
You know, for all the angry black women out there who are ready to jump all over white folk when one of their own cries rape its amazing.
I've never been with one black woman who didn't want to be with me.. of course to these nuts I'm sure somehow, even though it was all consentual, somehow I was raping em anyway.
No, leadpenny, resigning from only committee assignments doesn't mean she left the building completely. And everyone that thinks about it, realizes how shallow both her original agreement to the ousting of the students AND her current "for show only" protest are. If she were really serious, she'd resign from the university.
Scary when you think that these are the people teaching our kids. Run away, witch, we don't need the likes of you poisoning their minds anyway!
"......Karla Holloway, an English professor and former dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, wrote to Duke's black faculty caucus."
Is there a Duke white faculty caucus?
Hmmmmmm. It appears that the professor believes our process is "guilty until proven innocent."
My thoughts xacly. thx.
Exactly. Quite a way to protest, eh?
"I'll show YOU!! I'm dumping ALL of my extracurricular workload assignments in this cushy job.......so THERE!!!!"
I find that a consistent telling behavior identifying liberals is that they put more stock in image rather than substance. They care more about how something looks than how it works.
