Russert is picking up Chrissy Matthews thread that the dems must at least try to stop the sending of more troops to Iraq. Biden admits there isn't a whole lot he can do about it.

I was thinking about doing this but so long as they leave me alone I am perfectly willing to come up with a sane and sensible settlement....ie...they pay their Vet bill and I'll pay mine. God Bless America.

As I was rolling around in the ditch with the 3-yr-old granddaughter screaming in the street I was trying to PRY the dogs apart. By this time Jo-Ann had the cocker in a death grip like dogs do, her teeth THROUGH the cocker's mouth, all the way through. It was horrible.
I couldn't get them apart so I did the only thing I could do, I screamed for help.
The cocker's owners heard and next thing I know, as I'm laying over both dogs and beating MY dog on the snout to get her to let go of the cocker, out of the corner of my eye I see the cocker's owner running at me with a HUGE butcher knife, held high in the air and ready to plunge.
He was going to STAB MY DOG!
I started screaming and told him if he stabbed my dog he'd have to go through me to get to her.
He did drop the knife at that point and he helped me pry the dogs loose. Hey, the guy was really nice about it. He was shook up, he apologized to my granddaughter that she had to see all this. I did take Jo-Ann home then returned to see how the cocker was. I think the cocker lost an eyeball. The owner then asked me if I could help with the Vet bill at which point I told him politely I could not.
Not to mention my hands are torn up.
This is the mentality of this country any more, to add a moral to it all. There is NO right or wrong. There are only lies and spin and lust for money.
I've been despondent over the whole thing. Folks, my dog is a BIG dog, she's got BIG teeth. She's NEVER attacked another dog yet TWO dogs now have attacked her. It's bad PR folks and Jo-Ann has a reputation she does not deserve.
I deliberately walk her between 8 and 9 am in the morning so I will be out when most folks have gone to work and their dogs are locked up. Jo-Ann does "posture" for other dogs as we walk...she snarls and does something that evidently other dogs see as some sort of challenge. I think she's warning dogs not to come near us as hey, the dog does protect me and that day she was watching over me and the granddaughter, who Jo-Ann would gladly die to protect.
Now...TADA....CANINE PEPPER SPRAY. I carry it with me and keep my finger on the button. If some dog decides to run out and attack Jo-Ann they will be squirted handily. Hey, I'll even squirt Jo-Ann if I have to. It doesn't hurt them.
I'm not backing down on this one and when you think about it, I could sue the bejeesus out of them. If they don't knock it off, I shall do just that.
The lineup is so pathetic I think I'll put my tree back up!
That article suggested that Byrd might be under the influence. Media will care only if republicans do such.
You know AB, you are just soooo right.
I envy and admire you. I'd love to be on a big mountain somewhere, far away from the maddening crowd.
The rest of the world is nuts except me and you. And then sometimes I wonder about you.

Biden is having none of this and wants to just "get out" but is not saying this in a "cut and run" manner.
