[Raise your hand if you think either Joe Biden or Lindsey Graham will say anything you haven't heard them say for the last year or longer.]Just saw a blurb about Biden/Lindsey appearing and the blurb said the two would be discussing more troops or not more troops in Iraq.
Of course Biden (forget the plagiarizing, I'm still running for President) will be on the Sheehan side, and Graham will be on the McCain side.
Graham's position is subject to change if John McCain's position changed overnight.

Versus, Miss Marple? I doubt it. They'll both be more in agreement with each other than not. Both will agree that Bush is bad, Iraq is a failure, and they know more of anything better than you or me.

I think I will take down my tree today instead.Don't take it down, just move the adorned tree it into the spare bedroom and drape a sheet over it. Ahem, if it's artificial of course.
My late Mom did that for years and after Thanksgiving dinner we would just move the tree back into the den and "instant Christmas tree".
My Mom was a very practical person. :)

The esteemed (in their own minds) senators have not listened to each other in committee hearings for years, so now they didn't even have the courtesy to remain in the Chamber for the opening session! I wonder how (badly) they will act during the SOTU speech.

Send the Cocker nuts a letter from your lawyer. Beat them to the punch. Include a copy of your vet bill, tell them to cease and desist.

I don't want to hear ONE word from sanctimonious Byrd about "separation of church and state" after that holy-roller shouting on the Senate floor.

LOL, oh my word, that is funny.
I do indeed have an artificial tree but my house is more like a cottage and don't have much spare room. Funny my mom use to tell me that when she was a child they kept their tree up until March. (The room the tree was in did not have heat.)

I agree on the vet bills, screw those idiots.
A neighbor's larger dog came into our yard years ago and attacked our very young mini-Doxie who was leashed. The neighbor immediately came over after our return from the vet and paid all expenses while offering profuse apologies.

You know, Fish, in my long sad life, it's nice to know I've done somethings right. When I was stationed in Germany we lived in a little German town that was like that. The neighbors were alway bitching about our dogs, my big American truck, and how often I didn't clean the street like they did. We made some very good friends there, too, so don't get me wrong. But I saw the problem mostly as having neighbors.
When I got stationed here in Alabama we deliberately looked for a place with land way out in the country. We found our dream and I really have no neighbors to speak of. We've had a few loose cows to contend with, a wild dog or two (which get shot by most folks here), and the a lot of gun fire on weekends and during hunting season, but all in all I'm glad we don't live near others imposing their ways on us.

I do, however, throw a sheet over the Dickens Village set-up in the basement rec room. LOL! Last tree is coming down today, probably while Biden is pontificating.
I think maybe Brit is hosting FNS this morning...at least he was giving the preview on Fox and Friends.

It is extremely easy to wean from the Sunday morning habit with this thread. After about 200 posts it is obvious that we did not miss a thing. One or two remarks will be referenced by our few remaining viewers - for whose commitment I am very grateful - just enough to summarize entire hours of programming.
We are now like those congressmen who get all their info from staff, not from first-hand study and exposure.

Sigh! That was years ago and we have moved since then.
We go back to visit every few years and the neighborhood is just as nice, though our gracious neighbors have also moved.
