My FRiends, I would be very grateful for your prayers in behalf of my Dad whose health has taken a turn for the worse right after Thanksgiving, and even more so in the past few days. Dad is 81, a veteran of World War II in the Pacific Theatre, he served as a munitions expert, Browning Automatic rifleman, and finally as a medical corpsman before being wounded and sent home. He continued to serve our Nation in the Department of the Army his entire working career. He has been the finest Dad I could ask for and my life has been blessed by being his son. I have asked God what I believe my Dad would want me to ask, which is that God's Will be done. My own human desires and needs want to see my Dad restored completely to health and bounce out of his hospital bed, which would honestly require a miracle at this point. Dad is quite frankly suffering from old age, injured hip (did not require surgery), kidney infection, loss of appetite, one moment completely lucid, next moment, not quite so good. My Mom is holding up well all things considered, she and my Dad have been inseperable and happily married 53 years last month, I wish for them many more on this Earth, if that is part of God's Plan. I thank you and as my Dad would say, 'May the Lord be with you'.
Best Regards,
MKJ
Thank You for the blessing of having a loving earthly father. We confess that You have enriched MKJ's life through the strong and nurturing character of this patriot who served his country and his family. We are grateful that a wonderful appreciation has been established in this family and that in spite of health problems, this father knows that he is loved and cared for by his wife and children. Now, Father, we ask that according to Your will, You allow him yet a little more time on this earth, for we know that Your hand can heal instantly or gradually as You direct. We pray that by Your grace You would allow him to tarry just a little, granting him renewal and strength for the additional time. Lord, You are sovereign, and there is nothing too difficult for You. We exalt Your Holy Name and commit this family to You, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
A situation a lot of us will be finding ourselves in...if we've not already. It's a real shame to be losing so many of these fine men and women.
God bless your Dad, your Mom, you mkjessup and your family...
I've called in Logan's Prayer Warriors. Finest group of folk I know on FR. We'll pray for all of you, OK?
You are in my Prayers too Mk. Keep us posted.
Prayer bump
My mother is 91.There were a number of times when I worried that a decline in her health might be permanent or that an illness or injury might prove fatal.
It's surprising how often an older person can "bounce back," just as anyone younger might (though it could take longer, and juggling meds and treatments can be complicated.)
God Bless you and yours.
This is what I pray for all prayer requests, truth be known.
Because God's will is what is best for all believers.
Prayers up.
Prayers are offered for your Dad, Mom, and you.
When we surrender to God's Will...we are filled with His Peace.
Prayers have been offered up for your father and all his family. May our Lord touch upon him and bring him healing. Lord, I ask that You touch upon the members of his family and provide for them comfort as they deal with the ill health of this brave American Hero. Amen.
Amen. Beautiful prayer.
Prayers sent in honor.
Praying for his complete recovery.
God bless you, your dad, and your family. God bless his medical caregivers. God bless them all.
Prayers for all of you.
Prayers Up,,,
GOD Bless...
Prayers for your dad and for you, as well. It's hard to say goodbye but it could just be his time. Courage, my FRiend. I will pray for God's will to be done.
Well folks, I'm going to call it a night here but I expect to be up early and will update you all on whatever is new on Dad, I have tried to send private responses to everyone to keep the thread 'clean', if I missed anyone please know that the oversight was unintentional and I thank each and every one of you for your kind words, your inspired prayers, your human decency.
I hope that each of you will know and believe me when I say that your kindness will not be forgotten, and that you will be remembered in my prayers, and I pray God's Blessings upon you all.
Good night for now (11:10 pm EDT), and see you all sometime in the morning!
Best,
MKJ
Prayers on the way for all of you. God's will can be hard to accept, even when we know it is best. I think God appreciates our attempts to be obedient.
God bless you and your folks. May God's mercy be abundant and His comfort be strongly felt by you all. I thank our good Lord for men like your father, in whose debt we all stand. My family will pray for you.
