I just watched the "Thrilla in Manila" for the first time in 30 years the other night...
I rooted for the gutsy Joe Frazier all the way. Just incredible, the heart and soul in that man. Outgunned in many ways, but he was not going to give an inch physically or psychologically.
I have never been "anti-Ali", but I thought his clowning and trash talk just looked classless next to Joe Frazier's simple, direct determination to do the job. I did notice that Ali kind of shut up after a while...

Maybe this is part of Karl Rove's Master Plan. Give the sheeple 2 years you see what they've done by electing the buffoons and they'll come crawling back to us in 2008. Just have to wait and see.
