Then make John Bolton Iraqi ambassador. That'll speed things up in Baghdad.

"The BBC's Justin Webb in Washington says there could be perhaps as many as 18,000 extra troops, a policy that is likely to bring gasps of disbelief from many of the president's supporters."

Um, only in that I was expecting more like 30,000 to 40,000.

I wont believe it until I hear Bush say it, but by gum Bush is TRYING TO WIN IN IRAQ - after a bad year in Iraq, what a novel concept... "Bush, you Magnificent Bastard, you've outflanked them all!".

Silly rabbits, Bush trix are for suckers. Don't fall for the wild gesticulations happening here. It's all a distraction from the fact that no one has the balls to execute a real war in Iraq, which would also include action against Iran.

If we still had men like this, we would have won and gone home years ago.

And Syria. And Saudi Arabia. And Pakistan. And any other dirt hole collection of Jihadis that even look at us funny.

Your words are powerful, and true.
Wonder what the body count is that's attributable to the negative MSM and the 'rats and fainthearted pubs who have given hope to the enemy.

Over the long haul, BBC have been more credible than our own press. What's that tell you?

And surely I hope your assesment of how these camel humpers operate will not reflect fully at what Iraqi politicians will eventually decide to do.
Surely we would not trust them any further then we could throw one. But vast numbers of Iraqi may come to the point where they demand this IG get serious on many issues.
As for the demorats being elected. We have to remember their are a lot of long term reps as well as senators. They where elected during times of relative calm, e.g. the US not being directly threatened on a public scale of understanding.
They taint got a large majority at this point. But I realize the current frenzy can offset any otherwise misgivings some of them would have in supporting the POTUS in the future regarding Iraq.
Bottom, line is the US had planned on basically pulling out in 2007 long ago. We are not terribly off schedule regardless of how the L/MSM and others make it sound.
