A little research yielded Ford's Executive Order 11905. Each president is free to issue Executive Orders.
"Prohibition of Assassination. No employee of the United States Government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, political assassination."
[End]
Ford's 1976 message on foreign intelligence reform (to Congress) stated "I will support legislation making it a crime to assassinate or attempt or conspire to assassinate a foreign official in peacetime."
This Fox News item by Oliver North has more info.
BTW, Oliver North helped put together President Reagan's Executive Order 12333, signed by President Ronald Reagan on Dec. 4, 1981, specifies that "assassination is against the law and contrary to U.S. policy. . . ."

It's been a while since I've heard Dr. Savage IMO go this far off base.
Savage was dismissive and just plain mean with guest, Insight magazine editor at the time, Paul Rodriguez.
For some reason Savage did not like Insight's story about burial plots in Arlington National Cemetery for donors to Clinton and the DNC. Later when it became widely accepted as fact leading to Larry Lawrence's body being removed Savage was helping to lead the band wagon. At least that was my take at the time.
It happens from time to time. The good still outweighs the bad.
When Savage started talking about Gerald Ford and FISA, I was wondering if he'd acknowledge President Bush's support of the Patriot Act against the FISA court's defense of Islamofascist terrorists, such as the 20th hijacker, Zacarias Moussaoui. Gee, I thought Savage never has anything good to say about President Bush. /s
WHEW! Thank goodness the link to whatever picture you tried posting is dead. ;-D LOL! Good evening, Tamar! Did you happen to catch the Rose Bowl Parade yesterday?
tarkus he did mention in passing about Bush's support of the patriot act against fisa and libs going ape shiite over it.
Oops! I forgot to add "I'm glad he did."
FISA was signed into law by Jimmuh al-Carter in 1978. Just do a search on the web for FISA and you will get loads of information.
Savage appears to be mis-informed but I cannot say first hand as I have not listened to him (or Hannity, or Rush) since last November.
No, I slept in, actually. Had to make do with Youtube footage. LOL!
My goodness, someone feed that woman! You can see her ribs for crying out loud!

This is a FR search on the word "FISA". Beware. There is a LOT of reading in here.
I'll probably wait for someone else to do the homework on that. On the issue of tomorrow's issues: I think we have more important things to do than argue about Gerald Ford's record.
We've got the WOT on terror to handle and we've got a border to seal. On top of that, I bet we're going to have the President trying to cram an amnesty for illegals down our throats. It must be stopped. Saddle up, y'all, we've got a nation to save!!!
Agree. Savage is starting to remind me of my mother-in-law: 60% genius 40% paranoia.
Can you take me off the list, fishtank? I was taken off it once, but it might have been left in someone's list. Thanks.
I found this regarding intelligence gathering by Ford:
But sometimes he gets so excited, he seems like he's going to bust.
Like Gore re Bill, one waits for the cuckoo to emerge.
Cu---ckoooo!!!
