The polar bear has become the enviroloonies' new bald eagle. Someday, I wish that people would wake the hell up and figure out that the wackos are just peeing on their legs and telling them that it's raining.

They evolved the white fur as natural protection from their natural predatory enemies--the Arctic hare.

Glad to hear that the Polar Bears are thriving. I had decided that I would have to shoot all my neighbors cattle in order to reduce cow flatulence and thereby help save the Polar Bears. I just hadn't made it to Cabella's to pick up a load of shells.

I guess the moral of this story is that we ought to be careful about taking action based on scienfically suspect fearmongering. I don't think my neighbors would have been happy with me.

LOL..Now that is funny!

In reality their fur is translucent ( clear like mono fishing line) and only appears white. The hide under the fur is black to absorb heat.

Oh no! a leading world expert on polar bears says that not only are they not threatened by global warming but may even thrive on it. I'll bet professor Taylor's words will get huge play in all the big lib media outlets. (smirk)

"No evidence exists that suggests that both [polar] bears and the conservation systems that regulate them will not adapt and respond to the new conditions. Polar bears have persisted through many similar climate cycles."

Irrelevant when socialists are trying to grab money and power.

When debating with any member of the global warming(TM) cult, no matter how many facts you lay before them, no matter how well-reasoned your logic may be (compared to their whining and moaning), they never stop. They believe it because they want to believe its true.

Great pics by the way!

Presenting facts and/or logic to anyone to the left of maybe the late Gerald Ford, is roughly akin to addressing a Laplander in Chinese.

"Great pics by the way!"

Thanks - bears is always fun !!!

Most of these global warming debates begin with the 2nd or 3rd most important questions.....is there global warming ? and is it caused by man ?

Question #1 should be always; If there is global warming is it good or bad?

I maintain it is vastly more beneficial.

Logic has no place in this debate, it's about money, power and politics. Facts be damned.

LOL!

I took my Arctic Safety course last week. Pretty interesting learning what to do if you spot a polar bear while working.

Good point. I bet farmers tend to do much better during an El Nino year.

For fun, I like to ask: Since 'science' has proven that God does not exist, and that we know (with a hundredth of a degree certainty) that global warming(TM) will kill us in a few years, why can't we get an accurate 3-day weather forecast or find a cure for a cold?

Right! When they can tell me if I need to take an umbrella to work next Tuesday, I might listen to them on climate change.
