LATEST: US State Department says Saddam Hussein still in US custody in Iraq. More soon.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/
Sunrise doesn't matter, unless that's the time the Iraqis choose to hang him. It's sunset that matters, at least if they didn't "standardize" it to 6 pm, and it's about 5:07 pm in Baghdad.
I think it would've been far more fitting to hang the expletive-deleted with his own rope, though.
Prediction: Saddam hangs news >> massive stampede at Hajj.

Actually, that isn't accurate. Radical Islamists declared war on us, and began acting on their declaration, long before we woke up to the fact on 9/11/01. About 25 years before, give or take a couple of years.
My SIL is a flaming lib, but she's vastly out numbered at family gatherings, so keeps her mouth shut and just sits there rolling her eyes like she's 13 (she's 35).
Every once in a while something utterly mental spews out of her mouth. On Christmas Eve she said something about President Bush not being her president. I was hoping it meant she had renounced her citizenship and was leaving the country effective immediately, but no. :-(
>Wait 20 minutes after the announcement of his demise then roll up the Mahdi Army, all their ammo will be gone from firing in the air.<
LOL! You are probably right on! :o)
You suppose Mike Wallace is crying like a baby about now?? Course who in the Stone Age Press isn't??
Pray for W and Our Troops
I think the media is just mixing things up. There's legal custody and physical custody. He will remain in joint physical custody right till the end.
Just so it doesn't break.
No no - it's Saddam that will be running on a loop. Common mistake.
Can you imagine the conflicting reports about his actual hanging? He's dead.... breaking news: he's to be hung in 10 minutes...... We have it straight from the BBC that he has been dead for a month...... No wait, he's been pardoned by Ted Kennedy.......
That, by definition, would make them moderate Muslims.
I think you're right. Someone up the thread about a 100 posts or so, expressed the opinion that transfer of custody might only be via paperwork, and that physical custody will remain with our soldiers until the very end. I think that makes a great deal of sense. I also think the difference between a paper vs. a physical transfer is probably the reason we are getting so many conflicting reports about the transfer of custody.
Saddam probably want's to get it over with before he has to read about this in People magazine.
Someone could fart and it would cause a massive stampede at Hajj. What doesn't set them off?
Yes, there has to be enough force to snap the neck.
Too short a drop on a lighter person and it's dangle and strangle.
Too far on a lard ass and it's no longer a hanging, it's a decapitation.
I guess I'm safe, I'm off the chart...
Is he dead yet?
