Prayers up for you, your mom, and your family.

(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)

Holy Father,

You have given LisaMalia a wonderful mother to love and cherish, and we now join her in bringing this sweet and faithful woman before You. We are asking for Your healing, Lord, and for Your comfort and strength for her. We are asking for Your grace to deal with whatever Your plan may be for her. O Lord, we know that You are able to work everything for the good of this family and for Your glory, and so we commit LisaMalia and her mother to You, asking that You allow them time to hold on to each other and to bless each other with love. Thank You, Father, for taking care of everything, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I usually just say the prayers and not bother posting but now that I have my own prayer request up, I understand how comforting reading the posts can be. God bless you and your mom. You are both in my prayers.

I was offline during Christmas and travel to/from distant family, and just saw your prayer request. Consider it done. G-d bless you and your family.

UPDATE: My mom is still in the hospital. They are trying to regulate her meds, and get the CHF under control. Her diabetes, and the fact that her main arteries to her heart are blocked, makes it complicated.

My sister was there when the doctor came in this morning (I had to be at work, so could not be there), and he basically said there in not much they can do, except keep her comfortable, and she'll be on oxygen full time when she is able to be released.

She is very weak, they got her up today to take a few steps. However, her spirits are good, and she is still fighting.

I know this is alot to ask, but she LOVES getting cards, so if anyone would want to send one to her, FReepmail me and I will give you her address. Just to say you are praying for her, and are a FRiend of her daughter, Lisa.

Thanks so much to my FReeper family for all you kind words, thoughts, and PRAYERS.

LisaMalia--I'm in the same boat with my 80 year old father. Congestive heart failure, diabetes, emphysema, lung, bladder brain cancer (etc.) I talked to him today and he sounded really weak. I have asked G-d to extend his life, but I have decided that it is better that he remain strong until the end. That doesn't mean that your Mom is soon to go, but it does seem that when they turn 80, the health usually goes quickly. Our biggest frustration is trying to deal with all of the doctors that are involved. Don't any of them talk to each other? I don't think that our system was set up to handle so many octagenerians. My father in law is 82 and also has congestive heart failure and emphysema. I give thanks to G-d for letting us enjoy them as long as we have, but also I ask that he give us the strength to overcome the future tribulations that we face with them. I also thank G-d when he provides loving children to take care of them when they can no longer take care of themselves. May G-d bless you and your family.
