OCEANSIDE -- Numerous law enforcement officers and firefighters were responding this evening to an officer calling for help after reports of six shots fired and two people running from the scene in Oceanside.
Authorities said officers were converging on the area of Vandegrift Boulevard, North River Road and Redondo Drive in the northeastern section of the city for a major search. An area of the neighborhood was cordoned off, and many residents were watching to see what was happening.
A helicopter was being called in for what appeared to be at least one person hurt. Ambulances were also at the scene.
Sheriff's deputies were also participating
Send in our Marines. The two scumbags would be sorry for the day they were born!

My son is a Lance Corporal in the Camp Pendleton MP Company. I daresay he's probably having a busy night.
I too have sent up a prayer for the officer and his family, as well as the LEO's that are now trying to find this scum.
Sounds like this is what you're hoping for.
The officer's deceased.

Twenty five years old, man. Eight years older than the kid who shot him. He leaves behind a wife and an infant.
Arrest made in shooting death of Oceanside Police Officer.
Oceanside Mourns loss of Police Officer.
He will be sorely missed.
Aim high! LOL
Prayers for the deputy's young family.
RIP.
There should be no excuse for killing a a police officer. The death penalty is not enough.
The SCOTUS decision that perps under 18 can't get the death penalty is a horrible insult to this LEO and his relatives.
