Half a Christmas tree is better than none. A Christmas tree on a wall. [Vanity]

A friend of mine thought she had no room for a Christmas tree in her crowded, tiny house. But she solved the problem by deciding to place (a little more) than half of an artificial tree on the wall.
Here's a picture of their jury-rigged solution, which uses a leg from an old Christmas tree stand which Mr. DumbRedDown shaped into a bracket.

The DumbRedDowns (luckily) already had decorative strips of wood on their wall. The sturdily attached strips were used as a base onto which the bracket was screwed.
The DumbRedDown family is certain that inventive Freepers who want to attach a tree to their wall, can come up with their own solutions for safe ways to approach this.
The DumbRedDowns hope to place a decorated tree on the outside of their house, too.
They need to use only half of their ornaments and lights for their tree inside, which they are in the midst of decorating at the moment.

cool. I have heard of people hanging their tree from the ceiling because they don't have the floor space.

Why is this in News/Activism?

The DumbRedDowns are very proud of their Christmas card from the President and First Lady. You can see it to hanging beside the tree, to your left.

When I posted this I chose "vanity" from the list of topics. I thought that would do the trick. Sorry.

Wait and see, someone will market these next year!

In college, we used Sprite cans and taped them to the wall in the shape of a tree. Coke cans worked as ornaments and Dad's Root Beer cans served as the trunk.

Indeed...this is HUGH!Actually, it's rather light.
And The DumbRedDowns don't have to worry about grandchildren pulling down the tree on themselves.
Safety first!!!

Very clever. I saw one in a store this year that was upside down. The sign said that everybody would want one, lol. You have more room for presents under it. I had to laugh out loud when I saw it.

This is what Americans do. We Adapt, Overcome and Improvise. We see a problem and find a solution. sometimes its as simple as a bracket. Other time not so simple, but God willing, a solution is found.
Merry CHRISTMAS all.

cool. I have heard of people hanging their tree from the ceiling because they don't have the floor space. That's a good idea. Home Depot sells contraptions for raising and lowering bikes. Maybe something like that could be used for a tree, too.

That is a beautiful tree. I love the card from the President. I did not receive mine yet. It must be lost in the mail. lol.
To: syriacus
But can the cats climb on it and rip off the ornaments? Not fair!
