And I thought you weren't going to answer me (you've only promised not to twice). Good to know how easily led to water you are, Stocks.

I read what you linked to. Whatever the rest of it contains, it is still specious, spurious, slander, and libel, IF it says what you posted to this thread.

Have YOU ever been to N.Y.C.? If you have, have YOU ever been on Christopher Street? If so, have YOU ever seen the Stonewall? Do YOU even know all of the details about what happened there?

Rudy has long ago said that his idea of THE best Justice and one whom he would use as a LITMUS TEST in choosing a Justice, is SCALIA. He also thought that Roberts and Alito were wonderful nominations.

No president can overturn state amendments to state constitutions.

It's a poll of FR particpants. Nothing more, nothing less. But Freepers are very informed, unlike voters at large at this point, about details. I have to assume that when the FR polls were taken, most were very familiar with Rudy, and his views. If Rudy can get close to half of Freepers, who are more conservative overall, particularly on social issues, than GOP voters at large, that suggests that Rudy is really in the hunt, at this point in time.

Back in the early 1990's, the RATS wanted to pass the "Freedom of Choice Act", a bill that would nullify all restrictions on abortions. The bill never came up for a vote because of the 1994 election results. Now that the RATS are back in power, they will bring the bill up for debate. Rudy opposes parental notification and wants tax funded abortions. Will Rudy impose his pro-abortion views on Red States? To say that Presidents have no influence over abortion is silly.

I have all the members of Stonewall Vets listed. Rudy is a MEMBER. You can only be a MEMBER if you were AT Stonewall in 1969. There is nothing I posted that is on MY server. It is from Stonewall AND Rudy's archives.

As for me being in NYC. I live and grew up 25 miles outside NYC. I was there in WTC '93. I lost people in WTC '01. I got to wake up every morning for 3 months to the dirt and smell of my wet burnt family. I'm 15 miles from Fresh Kills where the debri was taken to.

I WENT to NYC and brought back these:

I took all but the first photo. That one is from a copter. I don't do heights.

Yes, I know where Stonewall is. I know the details thank you very much.

I'm just curious. Are there any Conservative blogs out there?

I thought Free Republic was supposed to be one.

What's with all the Rudy-ophiles? His Liberalism isn't even in question. Yet we get all these posters defending liberalism to support Rudy?

Did Free Republic change when I wasn't looking into a Liberal vs. Conservative debate blog?!?!?

I believe federal law over-rides state constitutions.

That means he was a trans dancer at the gay club.

Does the name Milton Berle mean anything to you?

And this was on primetime T.V. in the 50's - the Golden Age of good wholesome comedy.

I didn't say no influence, I said very little and that's true. A President can't stop it and really can't limit it in any real way. He can however fight terrorist which Rudy will do and Rudy can beat Hillary which he and only McCain can do IMO.

A majority here are younger than us, and that sucks. We are getting old, which sucks even more. They were not "there at the creation."

Damning, to say the least.

Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do and how you do it."

Of course FR has changed. After this last election, Chuckie Schumer summed it up quite nicely, when he gleefully exclaimed,,,

"THE REAGAN REVOLUTION IS DEAD"!!.

When you look at how many on a supposedly-conservative forum like this are willing to support a liberal like Rudy, can there be any doubt that what Chuckie said was 100% true??? No question. Absolutely none at all.

they will bring the bill up for debate.

Nope. Abortion (the anything goes variety at least) and guns lose the Dems votes at the margin, these days. The margin is where the action is. Any future action by the Dems on that will be waged vis a vis SCOTUS nominations. The Dems have passed the ball to SCOTUS, which for them is quite clever.
