During the summer, I got grief from Topinka supporters who claimed that Roskam, the GOP candidate in the IL-06, was too right wing to win. Well, Roskam's going to Congress and Judy Topinka may need a defense lawyer. After George Ryan, Topinka's next.

You didn't answer my Sean Hannity question? Why not? :)

The Topinka example is a very good one.

She is pretty much an exact Rudy clone, on about every single issue, good or bad.

We were told how she was the only kind of Republican who could win in Illinois, blah blah blah. She was even ahead in the polling a year before the race.

In the end, the Conservative grassroots stayed home, even when it meant Blagojevich would win reelection. Blagojevich is a male Hitlery in every respect.

The result? Alan Keyes actually got more overall votes in 2004 than she did in 2006 - ALAN KEYES, for crying out loud!

The Rudy formula is a loser. The Liberals aren't going to vote for a half Liberal when they can have a whole Liberal, and many of the grassroots Conservatives will stay home or go third party. There aren't enough of the actual moderates to make-up the difference needed to overcome the fact that the Democrats will be motivated, united, and hungry for the White House.

You're going to have two Liberals professing to be strong on defense.

The Iraq War is unpopular with Moderates - Hillary wants it over, Rudy wants to win. Free Health Care is dangerously popular with Moderates - Hitlery wants it, Rudy won't answer the question.

This strange formula of trying to win over Liberals and Moderates - all of whom are going to be desperate for a different party in the White House - instead of unifying the base behind the party is just weird. You cannot possibly make up the loss of votes on the right with Moderates in this case.

Sean Hannity is no Liberal.

If you're telling me he's endorsed Rudy, you'd better back that up.

For the most part, Sean's a party guy. I think he'd vote for Satan against Hitlery.

He's friends with Rudy, so what is he going to say? Don't run, Rudy?

"Sean Hannity is no Liberal."

Exactly! And if he has no problem with Rudy then neither should you. Everytime Rudy has been on the show Sean has encouraged him to run and told him that he would be a great president. If Sean and I can get that, why can't you?

---"If Sean and I can get that, why can't you?"---

Sean Hannity does not speak for me. As I said, his fear of Hitlery would have him supporting anyone else.

And rest assured, if Sean Hannity is willing to sell his soul to Rudy Giuliani then he will lose a lot of standing in my eyes as any spokesman for "Conservatism."

No Rudy, period. I'm not ready to abandon everything I believe in.

By wanting Hillary to win over Rudy, you already have!! Anyways, we won't change each others minds so later, maybe another time, and Merry Christmas!

In fairness to Rudy, he is better than the "moderate" crooks running the state party. I identify myself as an independent. In IL, people think Republicans are more corrupt than the Crook County Machine. Contrary to what the media would have people believe, the IL GOP's meltdown is due to corruption, not social conservatvism.

As for the Presidential race, I am undecided about the big 3 (McCain, Mitt, and Rudy). Right now, I want to put them under intense examination. And even bat them around a bitin order too see what they're made of.

The IL GOP is lost because it refuses to dump the good-old-boy system and the old tactics and rebuild.

Hence, Bill Brady flanking Oberweis so his very good friend Topinka can win with a plurality in the primary.

look for Bill Brady, the next in line of the party guys, to get the nod next time. No thanks.

No more of the old guard, please!!!

You are so right! Rudy has been firm and strong on the WOT since the Munich Olympics Attacks and the seizure of the Achille Lauro and the murder of Leon Klinghoffer. Long before it was fashionable, or even in the forefront of concerns, Rudy saw it for what it is and spoke out and acted against it whenever he could.

I agree completely. I like Rudy, and know him up close and personal living in NY, but I would vote for whomever the candidate is. I will never sit back and allow the Arkansas Grifters to take over my country.

Keating would be a terrific candidate if it weren't for his little scandal problem.

"Roberts would not have been his choice"

That is totally out of contect. Rudy's choice would have been to promote Scalia to CJ . Not a Liberal choice, by a long shot.

Aren't you nice and classy(sarcasm). I basically said lets move on in an amicable way and told you Merry Christmas and you didn't return it back to me. Not only I'm I smarter, more pragmatic and rational than you, I have more class than you.

"Yet you are harmful to the party. And disloyal. Proud?"

You have the proper relationship between political parties and their candidates and the voter exactly backwards.

We expect them to be loyal to US.

"There is only one candidate who splits the party so, yet he's the one you want on the ticket."

I think you've summed up the plan quite nicely.

Just joined...can't wait for Rudy.

I've had it with the Bushes and the that type of taliban goverment that tells you can't play cards on your own PC with your own money that has been taxed and stepped on about 5 times because of "the lord".
Then starting wars where he couldn't find the country on a flashing light map.

Blow it out your ass...they had their chance and my vote and blew it miserably.
