[Treasonous] Incoming Chairmen Ready to Investigate

Incoming Democratic committee chairmen say they will hold a series of hearings and investigations early next year to build the case for their call for a phased withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and for possible action against defense contractors found to have wasted billions in federal funds.

The emerging plans to grill administration officials on the conduct of the war are part of a pledge for more aggressive congressional oversight on issues such as prewar intelligence, prisoner treatment at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, and the government's use of warrantless wiretaps.

Nancy 'Bela' Pelosi and her fiends of the night may want to take aim at those nice folks over beheading and bombing innocents; worse case scenario, they'll have plenty of blood to gorge on. Just bring the sunblock Nancy-girl; That desert sun doesn't agree with your type from what I hear.

They're just, "doing the jobs Islamist fanatics can't do."

And the Islamist fanatics are just doing the jobs the Democrats can't do.

I don't believe congress has the power to withdraw troops: that's for the Executive Branch but, "series of hearings and investigations" must be the new order of the millennium. In the meantime, no actual work will get done. Public benefit: nil.

Here comes the new congress, just like the old congress.

"He would have been called/subpoenaed over to the Hill constantly. He would have had no time for SecDef work."

He'll still be supoenaed constantly. But at least he'll make the show somewhat enjoyable to watch, occasionally.

The incoming chairman of the House "Intelligence" Committee doesn't even know the difference between Sunni and Shiite, etc. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1754152/posts

Let's pray that this news, and what will follow, will wake up the American people to what they have done by giving these monsters power, so that it might never happen again.

Their ridiculous little panels and "investigations" will keep them busy and out of trouble.

Maybe. But it will also gum up the works in unimaginable ways.

Remember Scooter Libby? The got him on some phony drummed-up charge just by making him testify under oath and making an error.

These Democrats will try and do the same with any Bush Loyalist. In addition to that, these witnesses must hire expensive lawyers who charge by the hour. It will bankrupt many and shut down straightforward, honest conversation and advice rather than take the chance of being hauled before some star chamber committee looking for political scalps.

Honest government will suffer. America will suffer. Al Qaeda will not suffer but rejoice. Our own domestic terrorist sympathizers are doing their work for them, free.

This is a very, very bad thing. It is more than ominous.

Maybe they can get Bin Laden to make a guest appearance to bolster their claims against GWB.

Stellar idea, veronica!

Since bin Laden has been using DNC talking points, he should be very willing to testify on their behalf against the President.

their call for a phased withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq

You mean the troops that are fighting the war in Iraq that NEARLY ALL of these Democrats VOTED IN FAVOR OF?? That one?

/dipping sarcasm

Amazing how they all have short term memory loss when it comes to their vote to send our troops to war, isn't it?

Or are they just all pathological liars?

Hearings are notorious for red tape, lawyers and deadlock. Bloviations about efficient hearings to enforce a paper thin mandate will sink the Democrats.

Newt and the gang had quite a majority and hearings took all the political capital they had.

The Dems can try and spin this any way they want .. but by demanding the troops pull out, they are also saying the troops failed

The Dems should be ashamed of themselves

As well as their constant whining and Bush-bashing - which the public is sick and tired of. That's no way to launch a campaign for president in 2008.

And it is the very distractions the enemy is waiting for. They will be too busy putting their noses into 'secret' programs that they will neglect their oath of office.

Defend, protect, and serve.

For the love of God, PLEASE dem's, have panels, investigations, committees; everything you can think of. I'm hoping it will stall them for a couple years and save my wallet whilst they grandstand..
