A private laboratory hired by the prosecution in the Duke lacrosse case failed to report that it found DNA from multiple males in the accuser's body and underwear, according to a defense motion filed today. The lab, DNA Security of Burlington, found that the DNA did not match the three defendants, their lacrosse teammates or anyone else who submitted their DNA to police, including the accuser's boyfriend.
The new evidence emerged in thousands of documents handed over to the defense in October.

This case is really about the sex industry and Durham public figures.
Sorry to disagree but this case was only about Nifong's election. Had it been about the sex industry and public figures, Mangum would have been told long ago to shut up and go home so this press coverage stops. This is killing the Durham stipper industry as some of their websites said long ago. [That part may have blown over by now.] Sex industries do not like general publicity. They want this case done. Nifong needed it for election and he must contiue it now to try to avoid censure by the bar.

Some people in high places in North Carolina will be discovered as deeply involved in the sex industry if the Feds decide to investigate. I will say no more.

The Prosecutor cannot withhold evidence of innocence. He has a dual role as DA. It is not the same role as defense attorney.
To: TommyDale
That may be true and if they had their way Nifong would be stopped then. This is not good for them and Nifong is going on despite them.

I looked it up but I'm not an expert. There is a chemical that builds up but cannot be detected really, really early.

Ok, If she is due in Feb. then she got pregnant in June, when she was supposed to be in "Protection"?
Also, did anyone notice last night on Greta, that cousin Jakki kept contradicting herself?
She would mention at times talking to CGM and other times, saying no I haven't talked to her.
Then she said CGM's mother talked to her, and then later she said, the mother had no contact with her.
Greta tripped jakki up good IMO

HCG levels in pregnancy
HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, is a hormone made by the pregnancy that can be detected in the mother's blood or urine even before the woman's missed period. This hormone is what we look for with a "pregnancy test".
HCG is first detectable in the blood as early as 7-8 days after ovulation by very sensitive HCG assays (research assays). In real life, blood pregnancy tests will be positive (> 2 mIU/ml) by 10-11 days after HCG injection or LH surge.

I was there. I'm back. I haven't had a chance to read this mornings postings. I have lots to report but will not be able to do a full summary until later tonight. Here are two things I though were important...
1) Meehan was put on the stand and examined. Meehan said that he discussed ALL the results with Nifong. Meehan says that it was Meehan's idea to exclude any DNA results that did not relate to the lax team specifically because of "privacy" concerns. Meehan said that doing that violated DNASI protocols. Meehan said Nifong agreed that the extra results should not be included. This produced the only outburst in the court room.
2) Per Nifong, CGM is pregnant but has NOT had the baby. Due date 1 February. Nifong says pregnancy does not bear on the case. Defense presents motion to have paternity test ordered. Nifong quibbles about the wording. Judge grants motion subject to revised wording.

For sure! He pretty well nailed Nifong.
