Go watch a family member die of cancer over the span of several pain-filled months, then you can come back and discuss this again.

I just did and my resolve AGAINST euthanasia is stronger than ever.

It is a very sad thing watching a loved one die.....my suicide comment about cowardice was mainly aimed at someone who just lost all their money or their girlfriend.

But suicide is a Mortal Sin in my religion, but if people want to off themselves, it's no business of mine, I guess. I don't like a third party like Dr. Death coming in and relishing the act....he is an evil person.

"..my resolve AGAINST euthanasia is stronger than ever...."

Good for you. While none of us want to see a loved one suffer there is still an intrinsic value to human life. "Do not go gentle into that good night" evokes the love of a son for his father saying that death is not to be feared but that last breath is to be fought for.

If we decline ourselves it may seem kind to just save your loved ones the images of yourself in a terrible state but calling ghouls like Dr. Death is not the answer.

That's right. There are way too many Catholics and other so called Christians who view the 10 Commandments as the 10 Suggestions. Morality has become situational or what's "comfortable." "God will understand" and all that.

God has an appointed time for our birth and our death. It isn't our choice, no matter how much we are suffering. You can take that to the bank from someone who has suffered to the point of praying for death.

If anyone doubts this read Job. God doesn't have to account to us for any of His decisions. Suffering has a reasoning, often one our human minds cannot understand.

God Bless you for taking a strong stand against this immoral act. I've watched two family members die; one from cancer, the other essentially drowned from pneumonia. I too am AGAINST euthanasia more now than ever. Even more, I'm against allowing this mass murderer out so he can begin his death trade again.
