It is a very sad thing watching a loved one die.....my suicide comment about cowardice was mainly aimed at someone who just lost all their money or their girlfriend.
But suicide is a Mortal Sin in my religion, but if people want to off themselves, it's no business of mine, I guess. I don't like a third party like Dr. Death coming in and relishing the act....he is an evil person.

You are both right. Nobody WANTS to see a loved one suffer before death. However, odds are that every single one of us will have to endure this several times and it doesn't ever get easier. But this has also been the case throughout history and who are we to presume that God's Handiwork needs to be changed.
