When I was a kid, we didn't know from "unrealistic body expectations". My sister and I loved our Barbie and Midge dolls, and had hours of fun playing with them and making clothes for them. Our prized possession was our Barbie Dream House, complete with a play record collection, with Vic Damone being one of the records!
LMAO!
I snorted and whooped!
Thank you!
I'm grown up lady. LOL. And I still love Barbie.
The Bratz are skanks!
Whew, what a relief! If you were a guy I'd be worried about you!! :)
My daughter and I used to play barbies (I am a male). It must have been her pink Corvette that hooked me!
You rock. My inner child, Beavis, approves. "FIRE" heh-heh. I re-enacted the battle of Jutland in the creek near my house once. Both the German navy and the Royal navy "lost".
My sons like playing with my daughter's Barbie dolls. Of course, the dolls keep losing their heads. My sons also like playing with my daughter's baby dolls. There is one doll that two of my sons thought was a friend for them to play with when they were infants. They still carry baby dolls around the house. Yet, they are still very much boys. A few minutes ago two of my boys were fighting over a rubberband gun.
Does the Rosie O'Donnell doll come with it's own 18-wheeler to haul it around? Also, can you buy lumberjack-style plaid shirts, Army boots and a gay-friendly cruise ship? How about a little Danny DeVito doll to sit in her lap?
In our defense, we DID give our daughter a GI Joe a year ago. Barbie needed a boyfriend, you see, so we chose the Uber Alpha Male Joe over the simpering, femmed out metrosexual Ken.
I got into Dawn Dolls in the 70s because they had boy dolls as well....and a fashion show runway that moved! LOL!
LOL! Nice pic.
I went to Catholic school. My sister and I used to tie the Barbies to the dining table legs and whip them or put piles of paper under them as if they were being burned at the stake like the martyrs.
I've had a lot of therapy...
A look at the Fulla Doll ON THE NET...

My favorite was "The Divorce Barbie".
It comes with all of Ken's things.
I hope none of them ended up as St. Barbara. ;)
I hope I have lots of sons. Boys get cool toys and my brothers were all too much younger than me for me to steal theirs. Lego and toy guns are much more fun than barbies. I don't own twenty pairs of shoes, why should my dolls?
