A new high-tech temple to fundamentalist Christianity is due to open in heart of Middle America next May, aiming to provide the grandest riposte yet to Darwinian evolutionary theory.
Staff and supporters of the Answers in Genesis organisation call it the Creation Museum.
But secular scientists would take issue with the use of either word to describe the almost completed building that stands just a few miles west of Cincinnati, on the borders of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
Wherever you stand on the debate, it is impossible not to be impressed by the effort that has gone into constructing the $27m (£13.5m) museum, which hopes to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
"We have a planetarium to our left, and a virtually-finished bookstore.
"The museum is right under that archway there," said Mark Looy, vice president for ministry relations, standing in the foyer next to an animatronics dinosaur that is munching on a synthetic plant.
Playful dinosaurs
The museum's aim is to bring Genesis - the first book of the Bible - to life for all ages, and promote the belief that the Earth is less than 10,000 years old.

Itchy's charts gots LOTS more data! ;^)
And, on TODAY's critters (you too!) there ought to be all KINDS of things that haven't got all their parts yet to be effective.
The alternative is Hopeful Monsters: creatures born that have ALL their functioning parts intact at once.
Just like the 'Cincinnati' airport!
Nope.
All it would do is get ToE timeframe modified; again.

SOMEONE is channeling Itchy!!
Now then; post a list of the KNOWN creatures that inhabit Earth now!
One can still believe your statement and accept the facts that the universe is at least somewhere around 13 billion years old and that life has been evolving on Earth for millions, if not billions, of years.
Isa 48:3 ... I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of My mouth, and I shewed them; I did [them] SUDDENLY, and they came to pass.
Indeed!!
Genesis 1
This is a GOD who creates by speaking; but; how LONG did it take?
Now Jesus was a man who had God-like powers. Was HE God? The Book says so.......
NIV Colossians 1:13-17

14. in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
15. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
17. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
NIV Revelation 4:11
"You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."
NIV Revelation 10:6
And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay!
Notice that when this man speaks, things happen RIGHT NOW! Not after some times passes and Nature takes it's course.

Now if this same personage, who does things in an instant; how LONG would it take Him to CREATE all that we find around us???
This will be refreshing visiting a museum dedicated to Truth rather than evolutionary constructs, so I look forward to visiting it.
I have been through the museaum...it is awesome!
Promote it all you want. It's BS. Seriously, who came up with this 10,000 year old date?
Can you explain what "fossil reworking" means in greater detail?
"Strange that you would call me credulous since you are the one arguing for the existence of something that is "outside the natural world" and hence incapable of producing evidence."
Not incapable at all. The existence of the universe and life itself cannot be attributed to natural laws and are evidence for a supernatural God.
The credulity comes from believing that such things 'just happened'.
Go to google.com and type in 'fossil reworking' (without apostrophes) and start reading.
Hmmm. Maybe you're unaware of it, but even the benighted, luddite creationists at Answers in Genesis accept speciation. Indeed they think speciation happened far more rapidly than conventional evolutionists do, with millions of extant species coalescing from the maximum few tens of thousands of "created kinds" preserved on "Noah's Ark" in the space of only a few thousand years.
There haven't been any serious "fixed species" creationists since the 19th Century. Modern antievolutionists, for instance, all believe that a family like "horses" almost certainly comprise a single "created" kind. This includes dozens of species of horses, asses, donkeys, zebras, etc, many with different chromosome numbers and organizations. This is actually quite a bit of "species jumping".
Interesting example of adaptation, not evolution.
Regarding horses, just as with the example of flies above, you have shown adaptation as each horse type adapted or through natural selection achieved a different species status in its environment, this is not evolution from one life form to another. These are genetic variances within the same genome.
Yeah, but the same example that you sighted is an example of of the "loss of genetic information" in both populations, and they are (neither of them) significantly different from the original hawthorn fly; there is no new species because there hasn't really been a change in kind (and additional genetic information), only a loss, only a difference.
No. It is exactly evolution. It's not all there is to evolution, which ultimately claims that common ancestry applies far wider than just to horses as a group, but it certainly is evolution.
Besides, you're the one who just upthread rejected "species jumping," but here you are now accepting that, yes, horses DID diversify into dozens and dozens of species.
These are genetic variances within the same genome.
No, it's what was originally, in the distant past, one genome becoming over time multiple genomes. Good biological species by definition have distinct genomes from other, even closely related, species. (Sometimes even isolated subspecies or populations do. A "genome" is the collective genetic complement of an interbreeding population of organisms.)
Furthermore, as I alluded to previously, nearly all the species in the horse family have different numbers of chromosomes. IOW their genomes are organized differently. (This is why hybrids between different equine species are nearly always infertile or have greatly reduced fertility.)
