A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Hi Aqua! :)
Thanks. I love this song too. I watch midnight Mass each year, St. Patrick's Cathedral and love when they sing this song.

I wish I could go to that Mass rather than watching on TV. Maybe someday I can. How impressive and in aw I'd be.
Have a Great Day Aqua! :)

Mornin' GeeBee, Chewie. Thanks for that Bing Crosby and David Bowie duet. Mrsdd and I sing along with that when we hear it on the radio.
As an aside, my mom and her two sisters went to high school with Bing and brother Bob. As the story goes, Bing got kicked out of the public school and enrolled at Gonzaga Prep. The Jesuit teachers at the school got Bing straightened out pretty good.
He would later in life donate funds to Gonzaga University. Gonzaga University built a library on campus and it bears the name Bing Crosby Library. The Crosbys also had a summer home at nearby Hayden Lake, Idaho.
Thanks for all these great musical selections. It's gonna sound awfully Christmasy around the house today. :)

WooHoo...Deck the halls with wonderful music!
Thank you sweet sistah for the outstanding thread.
Will be back later..
Just back from trip & BUSY, busy, busy here. But, here is one pix from trip of my travel sweetie & myself at the DC FReeper party at private home (about 40 attended). I will be sending most of my pix to various folks for the 3 AAR threads. Did 2 FReeps (walter reed & Olney), the FReeper Christmas party, St. Johns, Monument tours, Private capital tour via congressman's office, several side events & tours. Pets & Mom all did well.

Good morning, friends!
This is just beautiful, GeeBee! Thank you so much for including my favorite Mannheim Steamroller selections.
I will be listening to your music all day as I bake Christmas cookies (Dr. Scarpetta's cookie graphic inspired me!). :-)
More Mannheim Steamroller,
for those who just can't get enough....
May your days be merry and bright!

"A Different Christmas Poem" - I love this! And it is beautifully presented too. :-)
God bless those in our military who sacrifice so much for us. I wish each and every one could know how very much we appreciate them.

I have a habit of finding and loving things that are hard to find--including music. For those who love "O Holy Night" and "Amazing Grace," you haven't heard them sung until you hear Jessye Norman sing them.

I like it, too.

I did an Alta Vista audio search and only came up with 30 second clips. Beautiful voice.
