"...we employ the Afghan on the street..."
As an aside, I've noticed many nice specimens of carved jade and tourmaline coming out of the Afghan area. Unfortunately for the Afghans, the jade that's coming out of the area is flooding the world market, and the prices for carved jade is falling. But it's good that the Afghans are trying their hand at entering the world marketplace in this area. I think with some thought, market study and patience the Afghans will succeed.
In the meantime, at least as of three months ago, it's a buyers market for jade.
Now, let me think....What was it we said about the Spanish wimps after their elections following attacks?
Unfortunately the rumor a few months ago that he was dead was false.
We Freepers think so too.
The short answer is that he's another example of a long train of mindbogglingly stupid mistakes by our brilliant CIA.
A more complete explanation is that back in the 1980s when the Afghan mujahedin were fighting the Russians, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar was one of the many warlords vying for American money and arms being supplied through the CIA. However, even at that time it was known that he was also virulently anti-American and anti-Western. He actually used to publicly exhort his troops by telling them that after they had defeated the Russians they would then turn their weapons on the Americans.
Other mujahedin leaders, including the brilliant, pro-American, pro-Western Ahmad Shah Massood, leader of what we later came to know as the Northern Alliance, and who was assassinated on September 9, 2001 by operatives of Osama bin Laden as part of the preparation for the 9-11 terrorist attack on the WTC, tried to warn the CIA about Hekmatyar and begged them to kill him then. So, guess which warlord the CIA decided to give the majority of the money and weapons to? That's right, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar! He did fight the Russians, but as a special bonus he also used those same weapons against his fellow pro-American mujahedin freedom-fighters!
After the Russians left Afghanistan, Hekmatyar stirred-up so much trouble that he was evently forced to flee to Iran, where the mullahs were only too happy to provide him sanctuary, money and arms to continue preparing his forces for the day they could return to Afghanistan and fulfill his pledge to fight the West.
The entrenched leftists in the CIA and the US State Departments are, tragically, the "gifts that keep on giving". If Hekmatyar had a sense of humor he would send Condoleeza Rice and John Negroponte a Hallmark "Thank You" card.
Soros is an agent provacetur. He funded the oppisition against Hugo Chavez in Venezuela and Evo Morales in Bolivia.
...and yet this enemy still breathes...
We will win when we fight as ruthless as they do. Personally I loved all of the stories for the past few ears about Bin Laden's eldest son...I say again, and he still breathes.
Yet another military victory for the MSM.
Along with the Stay at Home Conservatives.
Why have they pulled this article?
...and the constant ballot recounts until the winning number showed up, also put them in power...
Same thing is happening up here with our media and lefties railing against Canadian forces in Afghanistan. One of our lefty (all French) opposition parties is threatening to topple our Conservative gov't if we don't pull out of the Aghanistan war. Pathetic.
Find hime, turn over every rock and stone, then eliminate him on a permanent basis.
History is going to look back on shame at htis time, and wonder how Americans could have been so stupid as to not see the threat they faced- but sadly, it will be all laid at the feet of the GOP with the democrats and the friends of terror taking no blame whatsoever! http://sacredscoop.com

Hey, he's right. So was Osama, it seems. See tagline.

Thanks to them the radical Dems won, but the Stay at Home Conservatives will be the first ones to complain after January and still not vote in the next election.
