Kofi Annan to Blast US in Farewell Speech on US Soil
CNS News ^ | December 11, 2006

(CNSNews.com) - It may not rival Hugo Chavez' vitriol at the United Nations, but Kofi Annan's "farewell speech" in Missouri on Monday is expected to be a parting shot at President Bush, USA Today reported. Annan "will accuse the administration of trying to secure the United States from terrorism in part by dominating other nations through force, committing what he termed human rights abuses and taking military action without broad international support," the report said

It would be wonderful if after his speech, he was arrested for conspiracy to defraud the United States for his role in the Iraqi Oil for Food Program.

/slap...wake up!

Kofi will undoubtedly rake in the cash on the US-bashing college lecture circuit, and has stashed away enough oil-for-food and "gift" money to live quite well.

"To bad our President lacks the cajones to purge the Republican Party of RINOS like Hagel, Specter, Chaffee, et al..."

He has more cajones by far than some faceless dude posting on a website that he has no cajones.

You too are a faceless dude, DUDE. And I have voted the straight Republican ticket since Nixon/Agnew, and that vote gives me every right to criticize the President, ESPECIALLY when he reveals himself as 'President RINO' (and I stand by that description).

Having cajones wouldn't translate into "purging" everyone from a political party that was too liberal or conservative. I'm aware that such treatment was reserved ONLY for the White Supremacist and Ku Klux Klanner David Duke (not that Bush was in power then, he wasn't, but the GOP made sure Duke couldn't run under their banner).

The fact is, when Republican Senators or Congressional Representatives blatantly oppose the President (for example, the scumbag Chaffee from Rhode Island), the President, as titular head of the Party is OBLIGATED to not only enforce party unity but to either get the elected Republicans on side with Administration policy, or there has to be real, and substantial consequences which go beyond not being invited for the next White House Easter Egg Roll event. The Republican Party has dissolved into a mush of 'go along to get along', they have been ineffective in wielding the power of the majority that they fought so hard to get, they have acquiesced and surrendered to 'Rats who KNOW how to play cutthroat politics (and DO!), where else but in the former Republican controlled Senate would it be possible for any Senator wishing to filibuster to PHONE IN their filibuster without actually getting on the Senate floor and TALKING NONSTOP as a filibuster is supposed to be?!? Don't say the President doesn't have any influence over that, all he had to do was call in Trent Lott (when Lott was SML) or Bill Frist and tell them "if those damn 'Rats are going to fililbuster, you make them drag their ass to the well of the Senate and start talking, and make them talk until they can't talk anymore!"

THAT is what is called 'cajones' my FRiend.

The voters of NB, PA and RI had choices and they voted into high office these people AS REPUBLICANS. Purge them??

You better believe it. If the Republican Party leadership deteremines that ANY elected official who obtained their office by running under the Republican banner has failed to support the Party, has in fact worked AGAINST the best interests of the Party, you better believe they should be purged. That doesn't mean they are removed from office, it means that the Republican Party strips them of that (R) after their name, they are told to either add an (I) or a (D) to their name, and that they are persona non grata in the GOP. All party funds, resources and support are shut off permanently. Let the RINOs fend for themselves as either Independents or 'Rats. What does that accomplish? It sends a message that there are rewards for party loyalty and PENALTIES for stabbing the party in the back by obstructing and opposing Party and Administration policy. Not only is that absolutely the RIGHT thing to do, it is an absolute IMPERATIVE.

Absolutely wrong, and if you don't know why, no use explaining. Let the voters do it if they don't like their brand of "RepublicanLite" or "DemByAnotherName".

Your approach to Party discipline is utterly infantile and would empower such politically disloyal elected officials to continue on with their obstructionist ways until the next election cycle, i.e., you would reward them for their insolence and if you don't see what's wrong with THAT, *you* definitely have some neurons that are not firing properly.

As for supporting them for relection after they're Senators, the vaunted conservative Rick Santorum supported Specter for the reason that it's always done. Always. Rick Santorum is not, however, a RINO for doing that. Same thing for RINO Chaffee by the RSCC and the WH.

And our President gave whole hearted support to Snarlin' Arlen when a good solid conservative like Pat Toomey went begging for support from an Administration allegedly led by a 'conservative' President. I'm not surprised you would leave out that 'inconvenient truth' (as Al Ghoul would say). As for Santorum supporting Specter, Santorum has to WORK with Specter, but you can bet in his heart of hearts, Santorum was ideologically in lockstep with Toomey.

Ill-informed, rude people such as your ilk bellow that Liddy Dole is a RINO for supporting them for Senate reelection. The lady has a 92% conservative voting record in the Senate. Not perfect, not Jesse Helms. But far, far, far from RINO territory. Compare that to Chaffee who's conservative voting record is somewhere around 30% or less.

I haven't said a word about Liddy Dole. But I will say that her husband was a dud as a presidential candidate and guaranteed another four years of Emperor Billigula. He got the GOP nomination in '96 because everyone thought it was 'his turn', and his 'turn' gave us a second term of Clinton/Gore. That is RINO-ism in action.

Too bad YOU can't disagree with someone and show some decorum and decency at the same time. (Were you raised in A BARN so that you show no manners or common decency when you express political opinions?? Looks like.)

Politics ain't beanbag pal, if you can't stand the heat, take your wadded panties and GTF outta here.

And that every thread is YOUR pathetic opportunity to puff up YOURSELF by attacking President Bush. Doesn't work. You look so.....small.

You better check my posting history smart ass, because I have supported President Bush four-square at every opportunity. That does not mean that I'm about to enlist in the Bush-bot corps as you apparently did. I support the Constitution of the United States, and that supercedes ANY political loyalty ANYwhere, ANYtime, and you can take your blind political bromides that worship the ground that GWB walks on and stick 'em where the sun don't shine.

And in closing, your snide ad hominem about 'looking small' only demonstrates your own immaturity and inability to discuss the issues, any legitimate criticism of President Bush (and mine was more than legitimate, it was based on fact), instantly mashes your hot button, and you need to try the decaf pal.

Yep, sure looks like I snagged a live one here.

As Gunny Hartman would say, "I'll be watching you."

I was trying to ignore the little twerp, because we're still suffering from a backwash of pre-election trolls, but....great rant. BUMP! ;-)

I got your twerp.

You (and your like-minded Bush-bot pals) need to wake up and take a look around, because our compassionate-conservative President enabled the loss of GOP control of Congress, tossed the best SecDef in U.S. history under the bus, and THAT is no legacy to be proud of.

One Bush-bot says it, and the other swears to it.

No surprises here.

It would be fun to see George W. Bush walk on the stage in the middle of the Kofi Can speech, and walk over and give him the smirly nod he gave Al Gore.
Then take the mike and gently shove/usher Anus off the stage((stage left)).

Oh it would be fabulous.

Unfortunately, our President would take no such action unless a majority of Democrats fully supported him.

Then why attack GWB on an anti-Kofi thread? Why not just show some support for our President when he is under attack from a foreign enemy?

The Constitution doesn't allow the President to send his political enemies to the gulag, last I read it.
