Rodney King Arrested In Pasadena, Calif.
(CBS) LOS ANGELES Rodney King, whose videotaped beating by LAPD officers sparked the 1992 Los Angeles riots, was arrested in Pasadena, Calif.
King, 41, was allegedly involved in a disturbance at a Pasadena clothing store on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Police officers were called to the scene and found two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for King. According to the Pasadena Star-News, King was arrested without incident. He was released after appearing in court on Wednesday morning.
King was born in Sacramento and became a symbol of police brutality when amateur photographer George Holliday videotaped four LAPD officers using batons to beat him after a car chase on March 3, 1991.
On April 29, 1992, a Simi Valley jury acquitted the officers of state charges that alleged excessive use of force, which sparked four days of riots in Los Angeles that left 55 dead, 2,383 injured and cost $1 billion in property damage.
Two of the officers were convicted in 1993 on federal charges of violating King's civil rights and served 30 months in prison.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Is that the length of a riot baton?
Nope. I bet he has never heard of "Kroger". (They don't have them in So. Cal.)
Now, That was funny!
"It was a thing of beauty what the Koreans did to protect their property...."I remember the riots.Very gutsy people, and a welcome addition to America.
this fool was collared again?
Cain't we all just have some chicken and waffles?
Yes, he was an actor.
I've heard that in the Korean military a beating often occurs in cases where in America there would only be yelling. I hadn't heard about the shooting part.
Hilarious!
This was at Khe Sahn at the height of Lam Sahn 719,they said we were
surrounded by 3 or 4 NVA Divisions, this may have had some influnce on
that drastic action. I`d see those M-48 tanks being hauled in all the time
with the top half of the tank flapping after being hit with those damn RPG`s
Earlier that same night we were popping off those great big flares,I mean
flares that would light up a 100 acre field.Guy in the next bunked fired
off a Claymore while I was sleeping.The whole line opened up,wild night,that
was when I learned to keep away from tanks. They draw fire, and when hit
with small arms fire there`s ricochets everywhere.
Anyway next AM everyone was talking about that sleeping ROK soldier
getting mustered out, I remember it was our Lt. that told the story first.
And 55 people died!
You are supposed to ping someone when you post about him.
Ha, ha. You guys are a riot.
Incessant playing of PART of the video. The section where King got off the ground and charged Powell was edited out. It wasn't seen again until the Simi jury watched it.
What is "strick?"
Reggie's still around, fixing boats in Havasu City, and wants mostly to be left the heck alone.

One convenient fact the original article neglected to mention, the multi-million $ settlement King was given. Guess they forgot....
Your information appreciated and noted. Again, this demonstrates how the public has been at the complete mercy of the press. I did not happen to follow everything on the King case later, so I did not know. Questions I would like to ask of the media.
(1) Why was the Denny beating was shown only sporadically. Why was the edited tape of the King beating shown again and again.
(2) What source dictated this agenda?
I do not blaspheme here. Famous words on the first transmission by telegraph were:"What hath God wrought?"
On the internet, which would have outed the King debacle had this medium been prevalent. "What hath God wrought indeed?"
