Rodney King Arrested In Pasadena, Calif.
(CBS) LOS ANGELES Rodney King, whose videotaped beating by LAPD officers sparked the 1992 Los Angeles riots, was arrested in Pasadena, Calif.
King, 41, was allegedly involved in a disturbance at a Pasadena clothing store on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Police officers were called to the scene and found two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for King. According to the Pasadena Star-News, King was arrested without incident. He was released after appearing in court on Wednesday morning.
King was born in Sacramento and became a symbol of police brutality when amateur photographer George Holliday videotaped four LAPD officers using batons to beat him after a car chase on March 3, 1991.
On April 29, 1992, a Simi Valley jury acquitted the officers of state charges that alleged excessive use of force, which sparked four days of riots in Los Angeles that left 55 dead, 2,383 injured and cost $1 billion in property damage.
Two of the officers were convicted in 1993 on federal charges of violating King's civil rights and served 30 months in prison.

Typical NAACP Man of the Year.
I also wonder the same about why Maxine Waters wasn't arrested for incitement to riot for her asinine, "No justice, no peace!" BS.
Why people stand up for tools like this based solely on skin color is beyond me.
I like another one that came out of this
LAPD has changed the slogan on their cars from "To protect and serve" to "We'll treat you like a King"
Bump!

No justice, no crease!
I was going to quit while ahead, but your comment gets me going again. (thanks). This also needs to be said. Another poster mentioned Reginald Denny. Denny, as you know, was a large man, driving his truck. Rush Limbaugh did his great piece on "Football Williams", rioter, who brain damaged Denny.
The incessant playing of the video by the MSM,helped cause and indeed played a major part in stirring up the rioters. I believe it was done with that intent. We saw only a few replays of Reginald Denny, who cried and tried to "love" his abusers.
I cringed.
Hehehe - keep readin' - it gets much better!
But that POS "football" Williams - the guy who hit him with the brick and kicked him in the head - is still causing trouble in the LA area.
Such nice people!
I just stopped back to survey the damage. I thought this topic would be clothes by now. I need to buckle down and get back to work.
""Can't we all just get a 42-long?"
OK, that's it, pal: you're under a vest.
I wonder if he'll file a SUIT against Pasadena."
I am sure his lawyers are having a petition TAILOR MADE for him, right now. Abuse!
It irked me at the time that the media kept showing only part of his video. The earlier part - where King was resisting the tazers(?) and mooning the female police officer - put the entire episode into perspective.
More like a .38 Short
Actually, not anymore--he's doing life without parole for murder.
Finally some justice. Although not before someone else had to die.
You mean "da grodey sto, nest to da lieberry?"
This thread is warped.
You guys are just woofing it up; if you don't stop, I'll dye, laughing.
Sorry, this is just getting to mordant.

You got that right about Koreans,
When I was in VN , about 100yds from me a ROK Lt shot a ROK
trooper dead while he was sleeping on guard at line on the perimiter line.
Doubt there was any more sleeping on guard, I know I didn`t.
OK, that's it, pal: you're under a vest.
Heh ... you guys are keeping me in stitches ... comedy here is all sewn up.
