(Shenyang=Yonhap News) Cho Gye-chang = It has been confirmed that China donated 20 locomotives to N. Korea in first half of this year.
According to data published by Dangdong Custom's Office, China's Ministry of Railroad donated to N. Korea 20 locomotives which can run on its badly maintained railroads, as an aid project for its N. Korean Railroad Ministry for the first half of this year.
The price of each locomotive donated is 10million yuan($1.28 million) and the total amount of the aid is 200 million yuan($25.57 million.)
These locomotives were handed to N. Korea over the railroad bridge at Yalu River, with the help of Dandong Custom's Office.
N. Korea Holds onto Chinese Trains Bringing Aids(NK brazenly rips off China) (07/04/06)
So in the official record of China, this is an aid package. However, we know that it is an aid after the fact: N. Koreans held onto Chicom's trains bringing aid supply and never sent them back.
It is like being robbed and writing it off as a charity donation to the needy. China does not press the issue but they do want to save their precious face.
This is really comical.
Look at what I have found!
hope their the type that blow up...*grins*
Dude, where's my train.
They should give Chia Head a special rail car with a polonium 210 laced cognac dispencer...........
Let's just send Jimmah Carter over there to set the NKs straight and make them behave.....
Back in the 1980's if you shipped grain into Mexico by hopper car you also never got them back.
I don't feel world domination is in store ..... at least not by rail anyway
"It is like being robbed and writing it off as a charity donation to the needy."
Nothing new for China. They write off bad loans everyday like they're going out of style.
Good work.
Thanks. FR is a great source for news the MSM can't find ... or won't print.
Does anyone know what China Shipped to North Korea "inside" those railcars? hummmm
I hope those trains are LEMONS TIGER You know what I talking about seem Chia Pet had "accident' once
...and Dear Leader immediately pawned them and used the proceeds to buy himself a load of Hennessy and a load of Beluga caviar - while the fawning North Koreans ate grass and tree bark.
A note to all freepers - China still produces steam locomotives
To my utter amazement............I was watching RFD TV one saturday morning, and they had one hour of China's steam locomotives.
Very strange to see steam pulling container cars, & covered cars carrying autos.
I bet that Putin will send, at both Russia's and China's request, some polonium 210 may be coming Kim's way.
Inside premium caviar contained in a gold-plated box.:-)
