If he got his clothing soaking wet it could have been very quick.

How sharp could he be to get caught in that fashion and put his family at risk? I've done stupider things, but I always got lucky. This was bad luck on top of poor decisionmaking. But mostly bad luck.

Per press conference, his body has been found.
Prayers to all affected and RIP to a man who made the ultimate sacrifice for his wife and daughters.

I know it is unlikely to find him alive after this length of time, but I wish the media wouldn't be so quick to headline that his "body" has been found until it confirmed whether he is dead or alive. Prayers for the family!

You're right. At the time I wrote that, I thought they had found Kim alive. My bad.
Prayers for his family.

Officers said the couple used a map to choose the road they were on.
They chose poorly.

You know conditions can change in mountains quickly. I have been snowed in the mountains for several days at a time before, and at least once with little shelter and just a bit of food. In blizzard conditions you do not go anywhere, you stay put, and stay alive, you make yourself a shelter and remain.
This guy probably did what he thought was right. No need to pick on someone who got caught in a bad situation and might already be dead.
