Follow God or vanish, Ahmadinejad tells West

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned Western leaders to follow the path of God or "vanish from the face of the earth".

"These oppressive countries are angry with us ... a nation that on the other side of the globe has risen up and proved the shallowness of their power," Ahmadinejad said in a speech in the northern town of Ramsar, the semi-official news agency Mehr reported Wednesday.

"They are angry with our nation. But we tell them 'so be it and die from this anger'. Rest assured that if you do not respond to the divine call, you will die soon and vanish from the face of the earth," he said.

The outspoken president also maintained Iran's defiance over its controversial nuclear programme, saying it was on course to fully master nuclear technology.

"Thank to God's help, we have gone all the way and are only one step away from the zenith.

"We hope to have the big nuclear celebration by the end of the year (March 2007)," Ahmadinejad said, echoing comments he has made on numerous occasions in recent months.

For some reason, I feel relieved that Ahma-something-
something is threatening the West with war. I am not going to be macho and say, bring it on, but I am looking forward to his first move so that we can react.

Right now, we stand by idly while Islam is making gains in changing our society with the help of the leftists and the Anti-Christian-Lawyers-Union. It will take a national catastrophy for our nation to wake up from its lethargic carelessness to the danger and agressiveness of Islam.

After a rude awakening we hopefully will remain alert and united and reverse today's destructive trend.

I don't think they get joy out of scooping up such remains, but the delusional joy at a martyrdom that would ostensibly bring Islam to the fore as the controlling religious view, conquering the US, Jews, and Europe, overrides such sadness as a person in a civilized culture feels on the death of their child.

Such an up-side-down view is a characteristic that we must not let further infect our culture. Nothing short of our women in burqas or dead will quell their deadly activism.

I don't think you're a nut, just too ready to buy into a nice-sounding, well-packaged presentation. Don't feel badly, I bought into it, too, for many years. I grew up reading Hal Lindsay's "Late, Great Planet Earth" and thought it a compelling argument, at the time, but couldn't really piece it together from scripture, nor had I the time to do so. Having in recent years endeavored more diligently to build that edifice from it's foundations, I find I cannot, for the foundations do not exist. I am quite convinced that scripture makes enough prerequisites that bind our "gathering together" with Christ to "the Day of the LORD" that a pre-tribulation rapture scenario is quite out of the question.

Obviously, I do not have the space, here -- lest I be rude, which I shall eschew -- to construct a comprehensive argument, but just the scriptural references I have provided, below, are a sufficient beginning for any committed Truth-seeker.

The phrase "our gathering together to Him" from 2 Thessalonians 2:1, is bounded by some prerequisites further elaborated upon in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17.

1. The LORD Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout...
2. The dead in Christ will rise first

After these prerequisites, "then, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds".

Note that "we who are alive" CANNOT refer only to Christians saved during the Tribulation; ones 'left behind' by an earlier occurring 'rapture'. Why? Because the writer of 1 Thessalonians 4, uses the pronoun "we", by which he means he, himself and all of his contemporary hearers, none of whom had been 'left behind', nor were they going to be. In fact, since the write states thus in 1 Thessalonians 4:15, "we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord", how can we then contend that there are some of "we who are alive" who will, by some means (i.e. 'rapture') NOT "remain until the coming of the Lord"? There's only ONE other group of people described: "the dead in Christ".

So, by the testimony of the Thessalonian epistles, a Christian (for that is the audience to whom these letters are addressed) must EITHER be "dead in Christ" OR be "alive and remain until the coming of the Lord".

It's actually pretty plain, when all of the dispensationalist bookstore hype gets laid aside. But, don't take it from me, go read the scripture, again, for yourself. Hash through it between you and the LORD in prayer with JUST HIS WORD between you. Let HIM confirm what He has said. Let God's WORD be true and every man a liar.

Rest assured once he has the technology down pat, he WILL remove Israel from the map (and others too), 'cuzz with that action both he and his nation will face annihlation. You know what? so, in keeping with his intent for indiscriminate destruction, someone should lighten his load before irradiates others. Thats why I favor playing by their rules under these circumstances. The epicenter of Mid Eastern Islamic Imerialty needs a nasty, hot, and fiery sandstorm. Perhaps a glazing like they are prepared to give others.

someone needs to act, for the longer we wait, the stronger they get and the higher the probability of their success. to fail to act is only courting disaster ~ a far greater disaster.

While I admit the West has its problems, nothing in the world will convince me the "other side" is less decadent or amoral.

A society where women are either raped or bartered & sold like cigarettes, and innocent people are killed daily by suicide bombers, somehow fails to stand up as the shining example of spiritual purity.
