Live on cable now...
National interests as we know them, none.
Power-structure agenda interests, everything.
When I left my last contract position, I sent out an email to my co-workers that they were now free to blame all subsequent failures on me. That is basically what is happening now - now that Bush is a lame duck, they will seek to affix all blame for problems in Iraq on him and Rummy and Cheney, while ignoring the culpabilty of all others - from Baker, who set the stage for our current credbility problems in Iraq by leaving the Kurds and Shiites to twist in the wind after Gulf War I, to the Democrats who gave our enemies hope that they could win the political war when they, like the North Vietnamese, had no hope of winning the military war.
Now, if I may recycle the worn-out phrase one more time, it will all be "Bush's Fault!".
And the rest can walk away pretending their hands are clean.
What the hell qualifies a former SC Justice to develop military recommendations?
Now I'm despondent.
Near wrist slitting.
evidently diabetes... Imus & Barnacle talked about it this morning
I'm buying a gun.
God help us. All this tittering and giggling is making me want to retch.
Along with other prominant military minds, such as Vernon E. Jordan and Sandra Day OConnor.

I hope that you are wrong.
"Words are the means to meaning, and for some, the annunciation of truth.
And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country."
"Leon PANETTA is on this commission? Holy cow!!"
The mandatory Clinton Flunkie.
great post
So do I. The idea that this commission is bi-partisan is ridiculous.
She knows the MSM is the terrorists friend, and the constant drumbeat of cut and run by the MSM for the last 3 years has been deafening, and the dopes who vote Democrat have a Bash-Bush mentality that cannot be disregarded. Cut and run is going to happen AGAIN, and America is becoming a Third World country....
Amazing how Sandra Day O'Connor's impact and legacy in so many areas of American life can be summed up in a single word:
Enabler
Oh lordy, now we have degenerated into "Why can't we all just get along." And we're yucking it up on our dear little bi-partisan commission.
At least I'm ahead of the game in *one* category. Hard times. I couldn't listen to this after the first few words or hearing the last few words. Bah.
International Law ???
This is all one big friggin joke
I told you long ago these people are from the 60's and tried to destroy this country then and are back to finish her off.
And I am not a gloom and doomer.
This is a black, black day for our country.
Someone should ask Panetta what his exit strategy is from Kosovo.
