Former President Jimmy Carter said Sunday he hopes to be buried in front of his home in Plains, the southwest Georgia town where he and his wife were born. "Plains is special to us," the 82-year-old said during a three-hour live C-SPAN2 interview. "I could be buried in Arlington Cemetery or wherever I want, but my wife was born here and I was born here."
As a child, Carter briefly lived next door to Rosalynn, and the two began dating in 1945. The couple married the next year and in July celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
"Plains is where our hearts have always been," he said.
Carter said there are also plans for a funeral in Washington as well as a brief display of his body in Atlanta.

Thank you! But don't blame Billy Beer on him. There's enough blame for eternity without the BB!

While the Shah wasn't perfect, the Iranians I know would much rather he than the Ayatollahs. So where Jimmy is going, he's not likely to meet the Shah.

"Plains is where our hearts have always been," he said. "
That may well be true - but your mind has been absent for so long many would like to know if you ever had one.
You are directly responsible for the mess we are in today.
You betrayed the Shah because he wouldn't pay your bribe demand.
May you rot in hell you self serving hypocrite.

This "nut" can just be buried under his peanuts. I can picture a celebration like the one in Miami when people thought his buddy Fidel was dead!

The cheap bastard is going to insist on being buried on his own property -- so the government will be forced to buy it and maintain it as another worthless "Historical Site".....
Carter knows his family will allow the place to deteriorate, just as he fellow Georgian overrated hero Dr. Martin Luther King's family did....
The government had to pour millions into King's memorial because the greedy King family used the income on themselves.... SURPRISE SURPRISE....
