OPINION: I read this article on another site about "UK MUSLIMS REFUSE TO WASH HANDS IN HOSPITAL" and I thought to myself that not washing one's hands while working in a hospital is like not washing one's hands while working in a restaurant. In my opinion, that falls somewhere between a criminal act and a firing offense.
......"criminal act and firing offense".......
IMHO, it is both. And should be treated as such.
In our household, the adage "cleanliness is next to godliness" applies 24/7.

Right now, I have to laugh at this. Normally that rule applies here. But I have a three year old grandson and an eighteen month old granddaughter here for the weekend. Andrew tracked in wild turkey poop on his shoes, Olivia dumped fruit puffs all over our bed, their dog (also staying with us) threw up half a deer leg (seems like) on my freshly cleaned carpet. Their cat (also staying with us) decided it was time to urp up a couple of hair balls on the kitchen floor. I just turned them all over to their grandpa who is fixing them ice cream cones. I needed a break. I'm afraid to leave the computer room to see what new disaster awaits.
Pretty soon they will have bubble baths, a story or two, and bedtime.
In spite of my complaints, I'm loving every minute of it. What special blessings grandchildren are.
I wish you a wonderful and peaceful New Year.
I love that post, RR.
Give those kids and grandpa a big hug for me.
Grand kids are special,...cept they still grow up too fast!

I agree, they do grow up too fast. Our oldest granddaughter will be 25 next week......the youngest eighteen months. Quite an age span there. Each of the seven has brought a special and individual joy to our lives. My special prayer is to leave them a peaceful world.

Western media, bent on discrediting Islam and jihad, plants bomb on Iraqi bus -- no, wait...
It was Sunni jihadists, taking time out from their inner spiritual struggle to set off a bomb on a minibus full of Shi'ites. "Bomb kills 31, wounds 58 in Iraqi town," by Lauren Frayer for Associated Press, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
BAGHDAD, Iraq - A bomb planted on a minibus killed 31 people in a fish market in a mostly Shiite town south of Baghdad on Saturday, and the man blamed for parking the vehicle was cornered and killed by a mob as he walked away from the explosion.
There was no indication that the explosion, in Kufa, a Shiite town 100 miles south of the Iraqi capital, was related to the execution of
Saddam Hussein. The attack came on the eve of when Iraq's Shiites begin celebrating Eid al-Adha, the most important holiday of the Islamic calendar. Shoppers had crowded the market to buy supplies for the four-day festival.
At least 58 people were wounded, said Issa Mohammed, director of the morgue in the neighboring town of Najaf.

"Pastors' convictions for quoting Quran overturned
Case was brought under version of 'hate crimes' legislation"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Two Australian pastors who were convicted of "vilifying" Muslims when they quoted from the Quran during a seminar on jihad have had their appeals upheld by the Victorian Supreme Court.
And while that means they will return to a lower court for another trial, that actually is a good result, according to a new report from Voice of the Martyrs.
"In a sense we are happy with this decision
It means this case will be kept alive in the public consciousness," Pastor Danny Nalliah said in a VOM report. "There's a need to keep these vilification laws in sharp focus to reveal the problems this law is creating."
(Story continues below)
The Australian law was imposed in order to prevent the denigration of people based on their race or religion, and similar laws also have been approved in Canada, where critics of the law say they include sexual orientation and forbid pastors from condemning homosexuality as a sin.
Many of the "hate crimes" proposals in the United States are based on a similar concept: designating as "crimes" the statements people make about their own beliefs or convictions.
In a statement released through Catch the Fire Ministries, where Nalliah serves as president, he thanked his friends for their moral, prayer and financial support during the trial and appeal process to date.
"The battle for Freedom to express Truth is far from over, as a retrial at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (with a different Judge) is expected sometime next year
I believe the Lord will continue to use this case to further awaken His Church, our nation of Australia, the nations of the world, and to discredit the vilification laws in Victoria," he wrote.
Nalliah and Pastor Daniel Scot were charged following a complaint filed by The Islamic Council of Victoria, and were the first people found guilty of religious vilification under the Victorian Religious and Racial Tolerance Act of 2002. They were accused of vilifying Muslims at a seminar on jihad on March 9, 2002.
VOM said the two were lecturing on the differences between Christianity and Islam, and quoted directly from the Quran.
After his conviction, Nalliah had refused to apologize."
