Karen Armstrong is clearly delusional.

Armstrong is highly disliked by some on FR. However, she should be read anyway unless somebody is afraid of getting contaminated by a little wider view of history.

I predict that Robert Spencer is going to shred Karen Armstrong into itty-bitty pieces...in a nice way, of course. He's always polite.

I can recommend Robert Spencer's books without reservation. The unvarnished truth is presented in such a fashion as to remove any illusions one may hold regarding the murderous criminal system known as islam. I wish everyone in America would read Spencer's books.

Plenty of good stuff on BookTV this weekend.
Even if it's degraded by 3 1/2 hours of Jimmy Carter on Sunday.

Here's a bump and another link to the BookTV Schedule for folks:

http://www.booktv.org/schedule/index.asp?schedID=464

And I'll also cast my vote for "Karen Armstrong is insane", based on the
premise of her book.

Might be worth pinging your lists. Although the two, Robert Spencer and Karen Armstrong, will not be together in a single program, their very different perspectives will air back-to-back. The airing times are ET on C-SPAN2.

I'll watch both segments as I believe it important to know my friends (Robert Spencer), but to also know the enemy (Karen Armstrong).

Interesting that the Islamophile is on second. It should have been the other way around.

Apparently Karen Armstrong is describing an Islam that exists only in her peace filled fantasies of the Prophet. It does NOT describe the death cult he founded that is practiced by hundreds of thousands world wide.

Just watched the Robert Spencer segment. He's brilliant! Quick! ... Somebody draft him to run for president in 2008.
