Glad to hear it. I'm praying for our Luke pilot, but doesn't look good.

Did you see it go down? Glad to hear the pilot is okay, although ejection must be a jolt.

Just heard it on KLAC Am Los Angeles. Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton still works out of SD and said the plane went down near his studio.
To: DejaJude
I'd just heard that the pilot that went down in the NM F-16 was from Arizona. True it doesn't look good.
To: Pukin Dog
I hope everyone's OK.
I recall about twenty years ago when a S-3 Viking went down in a parking lot in Sorrento Valley. I was heading south on I-5, right at the 805 split, when it went overhead and down. Intense.

Didn't see it, as I am indoors on Free Republic (Duh) But smoke is still visible, and there are choppers all over the place.

How could he be from Cannon and Arizona at the same time?

He was apparently flying a F-16 from Cannon, but was from AZ. I didn't know that happened but apparently it does.
To: Pukin Dog
I hope friendlies reach the pilot before any Islamic Extremist forces!! (Yes, I know it's inside the U.S.)
To: Pukin Dog
Any landing you walk away from is a good one.
Thank God for the pilot.
