Does an ejection qualify as walking away from a "landing?" :)

Glad to hear the pilot is all right. The idiots who pulled out the "never saw combat" line on President Bush in 2000 and 2004 kept conveniently forgetting that flying a high-performance fighter--be it an F-102, an F/A-18, an old P-51, whatever--ain't exactly the safest job in the world.

I guess that includes when you're landing a 'chute.

I was told by my flight instructor at Fr. Rucker Army Aviation School that any landing that you make where you can walk away from or even crawl away from is a good one. JessM
