Wow. I've never seen the letter printed in its entirety.

It is EXACTLY the Democrat Party's talking points.

I guess that's why I've never seen the letter printed in its entirety.

From Robert Spencer's Jihad Watch website:
http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/014236.php
This "letter" is merely a formality required by the Qur'an before a Muslim attacks an "infidel."

Ahmadinejad calls Americans to Islam

Marisol caught the same things I note here, but I thought they deserved emphasis in their own thread:

Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, said:

When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these, you also accept it and withold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them....If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran, said:

Is there not a better approach to governance?

Is it not possible to put wealth and power in the service of peace, stability, prosperity and the happiness of all peoples through a commitment to justice and respect for the rights of all nations, instead of aggression and war?

[...]

It is possible to govern based on an approach that is distinctly different from one of coercion, force and injustice.

It is possible to sincerely serve and promote common human values, and honesty and compassion.

It is possible to provide welfare and prosperity without tension, threats, imposition or war.

It is possible to lead the world towards the aspired perfection by adhering to unity, monotheism, morality and spirituality and drawing upon the teachings of the Divine Prophets.

In that is the call to Islam as prescribed by Muhammad -- for Islam in the Islamic view is the only true monotheistic faith.

That call is here too:

We should all heed the Divine Word of the Holy Qur'an:

"But those who repent, have faith and do good may receive Salvation. Your Lord, alone, creates and chooses as He will, and others have no part in His choice; Glorified is God and Exalted above any partners they ascribe to Him." (28:67-68)

He chose a verse that rules out "partners" of Allah indicates that he intended a swipe at Christianity, as in the Islamic view Christians associate "partners" with Allah. Since Christianity is the dominant religion of the U.S., it seems likely that he meant to do this, as part of his call to Islam.

You can read his whole letter here: Ahmadinejad's letter to Americans

Mahmoud Ahmedinejad doesn't seem to grasp that we support Israel because she's a fellow democracy threatened with extinction. And we Americans haven't forgotten his threats to wipe Israel off the map. Or the Khomeinist regime's long standing avowal to destroy America. Wanting a sincere dialogue means a change of behavior and deeds - not just words. In that respect, Iran has a long way to go to persuade Americans it wants a better world. Dropping its hostility of Israel and ceasing its support for terrorists would be a gesture. I'm not holding my breath for it to happen, though.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." -Manuel II

  1. What god did he use (if not using English; it was to the American people, after all)?
  2. The language is way too stuffy.
  3. Attacking Jews in the United States is not smart.
  4. How stupid does he think Americans are? Even some of the most liberal people would not fall for this.

Your username is a bit disturbing, even if it is for Islam.

Then again, there is another freeper who goes around with another bad name.

FYI, Ahmadinejad likes to use the word "justice" as a codeword for the coming Mahdi, whom the Hadith prophesies will "establish justice where there had previously been injustice." (That is, the Mahdi will kill the unjust Dajjal and destroy the "Dajjalic system" spread throughout the world.) See especially the last quote.

Were the American people not God-fearing, truth-loving, and justice-seeking, ....

Both our nations are God-fearing, truth-loving and justice-seeking, ....

... securing justice and equity, and defending the innocent and the weak against oppressors and bullies.

We all deplore injustice, ....

Who can deny such broken promises and grave injustices towards humanity by the US administration?

... quest for justice and compassion and empathy for all humanity.

... in the service of peace, stability, prosperity and the happiness of all peoples through a commitment to justice and respect for the rights of all nations ....

... with an approach based on truth and Justice, ....

It is possible to govern based on an approach that is distinctly different from one of coercion, force and injustice.

I am confident that you, the American people, will play an instrumental role in the establishment of justice and spirituality throughout the world. The promises of the Almighty and His prophets will certainly be realized, Justice and Truth will prevail and all nations will live a true life in a climate replete with love, compassion and fraternity.

As all prophets have taught us, injustice and transgression will eventually bring about decline and demise.

O, Almighty God, bestow upon humanity the perfect human being promised to all by You, and make us among his followers.

He already did - His name is Jesus.
God does not "make" us follow Him.
That is a major difference between the One true God, and the false prophet of Islam.

"What has blind support for the Zionists by the US administration brought for the American people? It is regrettable that for the US administration, the interests of these occupiers supersedes the interests of the American people and of the other nations of the world.
What have the Zionists done for the American people that the US administration considers itself obliged to blindly support these infamous aggressors? Is it not because they have imposed themselves on a substantial portion of the banking, financial, cultural and media sectors?"

Obviously, this Iranian nut voted Democrat in our recent elections. He sounds just like John Murtha and Charlie Rangel.

AhMADinejihad must be getting pretty desperate to try a ploy like this. Nobody but the liberals are going to buy this little punk's bs. Real Americans realize what will happen if he gets the bomb.

Hundreds of thousands of my Iranian compatriots are living amongst you in friendship and peace, and are contributing positively to your society.

Gee, if what you and your buddies have done to Iran in the last 27 years is so superior, why have people been fleeing in droves from there ever since?
