A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Isn't the house quiet when kids/pets leave? always nice to have them & sure miss them afterwards.
Silky is beautiful.. lovely face. Enjoyed the story of her defending her "territory"!

Cats surely have their "personalities" dont they? My cali is now 18.. she is like velcro when I am at computer.. on my shoulders (tries to sit on my head, believe it or not); on keyborad, mouse, or my lap.. She rules the roost here. The other cats defer to her as do the two dogs..She is the alpha.
do you have a pix of Henry? Brown & white not too common color wise

thanks for your "be careful" concern. I was cautious. The roof is very crumbly & soft (like step thru soft) in spots.
I managed to NOT fall off nor hit my thumb or fingers with hammer (as I did yesterday).. I am very sore /tired from dozens of trips up & down ladder hauling the roofing material.'
I completely covered one area that had leaks thru to house (no kidding.. rain & drips) & a couple others where bad tiling damage. The estimate we had was about 14K.. it might as well be 14M.. so I did my best effort to keep head above water. Did also mow, some weeding & trimming back of the perennials. I love yard work year round.
Eleanor.. that cake you posted looked wonderful. Pumpkin cake!

well, going to check my pings, email, the Dose & get mom some dinner.
Josy cut her front upper tow pad on our outing late this afternoon. Her first. Have had many with the other dogs. Lots of blood & they lick continually. Where it is cut will not interfere with her outings fortunately as she NEEDS to run off all that young dog energy.
My back is VERY ROUGH.. the normal bad back magnified by dozens of trips with roofing material up the ladder. Hurts to sit so I might not post much more tonight as I have to also do the thread for tomorrow.. Maybe a hot bath & more Excedrin will help..

Hi Santa!
To: Purple Mountains Maj
My granddaughter lights up my life like nothing else (except of course my wife, but for a different reason). I work far from home and stay there for most of the week. When I get home at the end of the week, she's there with her huge smile and hugs waiting to see me. There's nothing in this world that can compare to the love of a grandchild.
